my fluent form is not allowing document upload especially when applicant are using their phones to complete the form

We have been using BuddyBoss for some time. In BuddyBoss I get a mail for every personal message someone sends me. This feature seems to be absent in FluentCommunity. Anyone?

Hi WPManageNinja team! πŸ™Œ

First of all, huge congratulations and thank you for the impressive work you’ve done with FluentPlayer. This is honestly one of the features I’ve been waiting for since the early days of FluentCommunity, and I’m truly excited to start using it at scale. πŸš€πŸ’™

Also: quick note β€” my recent license request was handled perfectly. Thank you so much for the smooth support. You’re outstanding technically and operationally. βœ…

That said, I have three very specific technical questions that I haven’t been able to find clearly documented anywhere, and your guidance would help me a lot:

1) πŸ“¦ Where are community video uploads stored right now?

I currently have FluentCommunity Media Storage configured to Amazon S3 (bucket-based storage).

βœ… Question: When a regular member uploads a video using FluentPlayer/FluentCommunity, does that video go to my configured S3 bucket, or does it upload to my server first (or remain on the server)?

Ideal scenario: I’d love to route video uploads directly to Bunny.net (Bunny Stream) for optimized video delivery and streaming. πŸ°πŸ“Ί

2) 🎞️ What are the exact upload limits (resolution, duration, file size)?

βœ… Question: What are the current hard limits for video uploads in the community, specifically:

  • Max file size (MB/GB)
  • Max duration (minutes)
  • Any limits on resolution / aspect ratio

If limits depend on server configuration, could you confirm which settings control it (or what FluentCommunity enforces by default)?

3) ▢️ How is playback handled (streaming vs direct file playback)?

βœ… Question: When members watch uploaded videos, is it currently:

  • True streaming (HLS/DASH style), or
  • Direct file playback (MP4 progressive), where the browser loads the file and plays it normally?

In other words: does it require downloading most/all of the file before smooth playback, or does it behave like adaptive streaming?

Thank you again to the whole team β€” this is a major milestone for community building. πŸ™πŸ’™

If you can point me to the correct docs (or clarify directly here), I’ll be incredibly grateful!

Has anyone figured out how to do this?

Hello everyone,

I’m currently using FluentCommunity as the internal platform for my company, and I’ve set up a multi-step onboarding process before users can actually access the community.

Here is how it works on my side:

  • Prospects first go through a registration and onboarding process.
  • During this process, they receive the β€œprospect” role.
  • Only once they complete the onboarding and pay their subscription do they receive the β€œcontributor” role, which is the role that should give access to the community.

The issue I’m facing is the following:

Even when users only have the β€œprospect” role (and should not yet have access), they still:

  • appear in the member directory,
  • appear in chat,
  • and even receive community emails and notifications.

This creates two problems for me:

  1. Prospects become visible in the community before they should be.
  2. They receive emails from a community they technically don’t have access to yet.

What I would like is simple:

  • Only users with the β€œcontributor” role should appear in the community (members list, chat, etc.) and receive community emails.
  • Users with the β€œprospect” role should be completely invisible to the community and receive no community notifications.

Has anyone implemented a pre-community onboarding workflow like this with FluentCommunity?

Is there a setting I might be missing, or a recommended way to restrict community visibility and emails strictly by role?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Running a community isn’t just about the platform.

What’s one small thing you do consistently to keep members engaged?

I have an FC Pro Single Site Annual plan, which I bought for $159.20 last year.

I checked the price for the LTD upgrade about 3 months ago, and it was $263.79. But at the time, I couldn't upgrade as I was quite in the early stage.

Currently, as I checked the upgrade pricing, it's showing $306.54. Meaning, I'll have to pay a total of $465 for the LTD license.

So, I wanted to check if this is some sort of technical issue, or if this is how it actually works!??! Tried reaching out to support, but couldn't get a precise response.
Kindly help, as I'd love to upgrade to the LTD license as I'm getting closer to the launch! TIA! <3

How does FC Pro upgrade pricing work?

Hi Jewel, the WPManageNinja team, and the Fluent Community,

We’ve covered the Frontend Layout (Part 1) and Backend Sanity (Part 2). Now, let’s talk about the lifeblood of any digital business: Revenue & Retention.

Currently, video in FluentCommunity is "passive." People watch, and then they leave. To truly dominate platforms like Skool or Circleβ€”and replace expensive external tools like WebinarJamβ€”we need to make our video experience "active."

Here are the 2 killer features that will explode adoption rates:

1. Inline Time-Stamped Comments (The "Loom" Effect)

The Concept: Allow members to drop a comment tied to a specific video timestamp (e.g., at 05:30).

Why it’s critical for Community Growth:

  • Contextual Learning: Students can ask questions about a specific slide without having to take screenshots or explain the context. The friction drops to zero.
  • The "Conversation Layer": It creates a social feed directly on top of the content. Users stay on the page longer just to read the timestamped discussions as the video plays.
  • (Reference: SoundCloud and Loom execute this perfectly).

2. The "Simulated Live" Mode (The WebinarJam Killer)

The Concept: A mode where a pre-recorded video broadcasts as if it were a live event at a scheduled time (e.g., "Premiere starts at 8:00 PM").

The Core Mechanics:

  • Synced Chat: Users can chat "live" with each other while the pre-recorded video plays.
  • Locked Timeline: The seek bar is completely disabled during the "Live" premiere. Users cannot skip ahead.
  • Auto-Redirect (The Closer): The exact moment the video ends, the system automatically redirects the viewer to a Checkout/Sales page.

The Business Value: This allows creators to run "Automated Webinars" 24/7 inside their own community without paying $500+/year for external software. It turns FluentPlayer into an automated sales machine.

Conclusion of the Series:

If we combine the Visual Grid (Part 1), the Robust Media Hub (Part 2), and this Monetization Layer (Part 3), FluentPlayer ceases to be just a video player.

It becomes the Operating System for Digital Creators.

I am ready to migrate my entire business stack (over 10,000 members) to the Fluent ecosystem if we can make this vision a reality.

Creators of the community: Who is with me? Let's upvote and push this forward!

Best regards,

πŸ’‘This idea originated from my previous series of articles: πŸ‘‰ Monetize your community with FluentCommunity

The FluentPlayer 2.0 Series (Part 3): The "Monetization Layer" (Active Engagement & Automated Webinars)

Hi Jewel, the WPManageNinja team, and the Fluent Community,

Following my previous post about the frontend Smart Media Grid (Part 1), it’s time to look at the backend engine.

If Part 1 is about converting visitors, Part 2 is about saving creators from chaos.

As we scale and upload hundreds of assets (Courses, Webinars, Sales Clips), managing videos strictly by "ID" or "Title" becomes a nightmare. We need a way to instantly Filter and Sort our media.

The Problem: The "Data Dump" Friction

Right now, the FluentPlayer dashboard acts like a raw storage folder. If I need to find all videos related to "Course A" or "Drafts", I have to manually scroll, search, and guess. There is no structural hierarchy.

To become a true Media Hub, FluentPlayer needs standard internal categorization. Presto Player currently handles this perfectly, and it’s time we bring this standard home to Fluent.

The Solution: Internal "Media Tags"

Please introduce a "Media Tags" taxonomy strictly for the FluentPlayer Dashboard (See the Presto Player reference below).

Core Capabilities Needed:

  • Quick Tagging: Let us assign tags (e.g., BLUEKY HUB, SNS-K2, Promo, Q1-2026) right in the editor sidebar when configuring a video.
  • Admin Dropdown Filter (Critical): Add a filter dropdown in the main Media Hub list. I select "SNS-K2", and the list instantly refines to show ONLY those videos.
  • List View Column: Add a "Media Tags" column to the dashboard so we can see file categories at a single glance.

⚠️ The Critical Distinction (Please Read)

I am asking for Internal Organization Tags (for the Admin to manage files). I am NOT asking for Automation Tags (for CRM/WP Fusion).

  • Automation Tags: Track the User's behavior (e.g., Tag applied when a user watches 50% of a video).
  • Media Tags: Organize the File's location (e.g., This video belongs to the "Course A" group).

Why this is a mandatory upgrade:

This is a native WordPress standard (just like Post Tags). Adding this transforms FluentPlayer from a simple video player into an Enterprise-Grade Asset Manager.

For power users and agencies managing massive video libraries, this eliminates hours of mindless searching.

Power users in the community: If you are tired of losing track of your videos and want a clean, highly organized backend Media Hub, please upvote and comment!

Let’s keep building the ultimate ecosystem.

Best regards,
