Changing Password in Account/Profile

Hi everyone,

One of my members has been running into issues with receiving email (FluentSMTP shows successful delivery, but they're just not getting the email). I'd like to be able to provide a temporary password for them to use for the time being, but then direct them to a place in the profile/account section to set their own.

1) It seems like that's not currently an optionβ€”has anyone been able to implement password change after the user logs in so we're not so dependent on email?

2) The issue seems to be with Hotmail... what is the best practice for sorting out an issue like this, where email seems to work properly on our end but the user's account appears to be doing some heavy filtering.

Hello Abby W, so you have checked fluentSMTP and the mail is delivered successfully, still the user didn’t get the mail. You can tell them to check their spam folder in mail. Is the issue related to signup? If yes, you can share the 2FA passcode from the fluentSMTP log to them, which will help them creating the account.

And currently password reset is only possible by the β€˜forget password’ option from the login page. Our team is reviewing this aspect to be done from the user profile route.

If you need detailed discussion, please create a support ticket (https://wpmanageninja.com/support-tickets/#/), thank you.

Abby W
