Referral / payout amounts render without trailing zeros in customer portal (e.g. $ 8.9 instead of $ 8.90) — bug or by design?

Recommend products you love and earn rewards while helping friends save.

How it works

1. Register for the affiliate program using the sign-up form.
2. Access your unique referral link from your account.
3. Share the link with friends, family, or your social-media audience.
4. Earn rewards whenever someone completes an eligible purchase through your link.

Rewards

• You receive 5% of each eligible referred purchase as store credit.
• The accumulated credit can be used toward your future purchases.
• New customers referred through your link receive an automatic 5% discount on their first order.

Conditions

• Joining is completely free.
• There are no minimum sales requirements, upfront costs, or ongoing commitments.
• Commission is approved after the customer receives the order and the applicable return or withdrawal period has expired.
• Cancelled, returned, or refunded orders do not qualify for commission.
• Referral activity, link clicks, and accumulated rewards can be monitored through your account.

I had an idea while working on our own affiliate program that I think could be a really useful addition to FluentAffiliate's existing Promo Materials feature.

Right now, Promo Materials can give affiliates things like images, links, and other promotional assets. But I've been thinking that ready-to-use copy could be even more useful, especially for affiliates who are already using and recommending the products.

The idea would be to give affiliates short, natural scripts they can copy, customize, and use in specific situations.

For example:

Recommending a plugin to a client

I think [Plugin Name] would be a great solution for what you're trying to accomplish. It's a plugin I regularly recommend because it makes this type of functionality much easier to add and manage. You can take a look at the features and pricing here: [Affiliate Link]

Handing a website over to a client

This could be particularly useful for freelancers and agencies. If they're no longer actively working on a client's website and need to have the client purchase their own license, they could have a ready-to-use message explaining the transition and providing their affiliate link.

Other examples could include scripts for answering questions in a Facebook group or community, recommending a product in a blog post, creating a YouTube video or tutorial, or simply sharing a favorite tool with their audience.

The part that makes this even more interesting

I don't think affiliates should have to manually replace [Plugin Name] and [Affiliate Link].

It would be great to have a simple Affiliate Script Generator where the affiliate could choose:

Product: Divi Assistant
Situation: Recommend a Plugin to a Client

And FluentAffiliate would automatically generate the appropriate script with:

• The selected product name
• The affiliate's unique tracking link
• The appropriate pre-written script

They could then simply copy the finished message and use it wherever they're making the recommendation.

So I see these as two related but somewhat separate features:

1. Script/Copy Templates
Allow administrators to create reusable scripts as another type of promotional material.

2. Script Generator
Allow affiliates to select a product and a script/template, then automatically populate the product name and their own affiliate link.

I think this could make affiliate promotion much more actionable. Instead of simply giving affiliates a link or banner and expecting them to figure out what to say, you're giving them the recommendation and the tracking link together, ready to use.

I'm curious what others think about this. Would you find something like this useful as an affiliate? And I'd especially like to hear from the FluentAffiliate/WPManageNinja team whether this is something you see fitting into the future of Promo Materials.

We're actually considering building something like the generator ourselves for our own affiliate program, but before we do that, I'd love to know if it's something FluentAffiliate is considering adding.

Picture this:

• After purchasing, customers automatically get a referral link in their welcome email (and account dashboard) that they can share to earn.
• Once they have enough referals for a payout, they enter their payment email and I pay them.

Right now they have to apply, so there's a bottleneck; the application process.

Many of my customers are interested in being affiliates, but not interested enough to apply.

By being customers, I consider them worthy of instant approval.

It would be great if customers could get a referral link in their accounts.

What do you think?

I'm getting a very low completion rate for my affiliate signup page. A couple of people have said they will "do it later when they have time"

Some of the interested people I've sent there are already customers, so they are "in the system" already. Is there a way to make them affiliates without them having to register?

This one is about who gets into your affiliate program, and what you actually know about them.

• Captcha Protection: You can now put Google reCAPTCHA in front of it, v2 checkbox or invisible v3 with your own score threshold. This will prevent spam for your affiliate program. We will add Cloudflare Turnstile in the coming versions.
• Custom Registration Fields: Tax ID, payout preference, audience size, whichever channel they promote on. Ask it on the form instead of chasing it over email after approval. Eight field types, and every answer shows up right on the affiliate's profile.
• FluentCRM Tags and Lists from the Affiliate Profile: The FluentCRM card used to be read-only. Now you can add or remove tags and lists without opening a second tab.

Also in this release

• Solid Affiliate migration now brings your creatives across, and runs faster on big datasets
• Reworked dark mode with better contrast

I'm confused on how to go about paying affiliates. I use Stripe for my business. I need to download the CSV and upload to... where? I've never done this before and I guess I never realized that payment was sent from the platform -- makes sense though because there's not a processor connected. Anyways, I have no idea how to do the CSV thing and pay my affiliates. I don't get a ton - in fact I only have one right now - but it's still a pain.

I'm still waiting for automatic or self directed payouts before I switch over to FluentAffiliate. Any timeline on that?

But in the meantime, I tried to look into how they currently work but the docs don't explain it.

It explains how to set a minimum amount, etc. then it says
"Once everything is filled out, click the Next (Review Payout) button to proceed."

Ok, so next I'm expecting it next to say something like click a button to pay the affiliate.

But instead, we jump to:

"Now, on the Payout dashboard, you'll see your newly created payout listed." "...Here, you can see the total amount paid to your affiliates"

But how does the actual payment happen?

Do I have to copy each PayPal email address, go over to PayPal and manually send each affiliate the money owed? Do I get a csv file I can upload to PayPal for bulk payment?

This incredibly important step is not in the docs.
