ticket #155309

I have a community, and it’s on a different site on a subdomain of my main domainβ€”two different WordPress sites, one for the community and one for the blog. The community is up and running, but when sending digest emails, I’m getting a strange reference that the site is unavailable. Here is an example. Please help.

The link in the email to "join the conversation" is leading to a Cloudflare "bad gateway" error (see image).

Shahjahan JewelΒ can you please advise?

[yourwebsite.com/portal/u/username/spaces]()

we'd like to create a direct link to the current logged in users spaces vs them having to crawl through their profile. What do we replace their username with in this example? I remember it was something like _ user /post

Hey everyone!

I'm Jerome, founder of Domini β€” a network of ~50 independent real estate agents in France. Our entire team lives inside FluentCommunity, and we've been building custom plugins to extend it into a full business platform.

Today I wanted to share our latest module: Notes β€” a collaborative note-taking tool fully integrated into FluentCommunity.

What it does:

  • Full-page Apple Notes-style editor, rendered on a dedicated FC hash route (#/fccn-page/notes)
  • 3-column layout: folders | note list with search | rich text editor
  • Real-time collaboration: share notes with any mandataire, see who last edited, get live updates via polling (5s)
  • Bell notifications: when someone edits a shared note you haven't seen in 1h+, you get a notification in the FC bell β€” we insert directly into fcom_notifications + fcom_notification_users
  • Email on invite: when you share a note, the collaborator gets an email with a direct link
  • Activity journal: full history of who created, edited, or shared the note
  • Autosave (1.2s), folders with custom colors, print support
  • Mobile responsive with 3 views (folders / list / editor)
  • Unseen indicator: blue pulsing dot on notes with unread changes

Technical details for devs:

  • Pure vanilla JS + PHP, no frameworks, no build step
  • Uses FC hooks: fluent_community/portal_head, portal_footer, app_route_paths
  • Positions itself dynamically next to the FC sidebar (detects .fcom_sidebar, .fcom_vertical_nav, header) using CSS custom properties
  • REST API with 12 endpoints under domini-notes/v1
  • 5 custom DB tables (notes, folders, shares, activity, last_seen)
  • FC notification integration via direct DB insert into fcom_notifications (we check table existence first, so it degrades gracefully if FC is deactivated)

The whole thing is a single lightweight WordPress plugin (~2,300 lines total across 6 files). No npm, no webpack, no external dependencies.

We're using it in production with our 50 agents for meeting notes, property briefings, and internal memos. The real-time aspect makes it feel much snappier than expected for a polling-based approach.

Happy to share more details about the FC integration patterns if anyone's interested. FluentCommunity's hook system made this surprisingly straightforward to build.

Would love to hear if others are building custom modules on top of FC! πŸš€

We built a full collaborative Notes app inside FluentCommunity β€” here's how

While I may not have expertise in coding and plugins, I do understand business and how to effectively maintain a community. I'm curious to hear how you all keep your communities thriving.

From my side, one strategy I can share is the Welcome Sequence, which has proven to be one of the most crucial sequences. It has provided me with a 20% increase in retention and greater engagement within the community.

What are your ideas?

Question,

I might be doing something wrong or misunderstanding something.

I have the following scenario. A user buys access to course A + access to space A. I manage this with tags. Person joins with TagA.

When someone leaves the space, they cannot join again and have to buy again of ask for access. I can use the checkmark: sync with space access, but then the entire tag is removed from their profile.

I would like someone to freely join and leave a space/course they bought, but not have other people able to access.

How can I add the TikTok social network to my profile so that the TikTok icon and my account link appear just like the other social media icons?

Add TikTok icon to profile

Je ne sais pas pour vous, mais ce plugin est vraiment pratique......

I created a course and I'd like it not to be added to any groups.

The description says that if I don't select any groups, this course will be visible on the courses page, but it always automatically selects a group and the course appears in the left sidebar.

Is this happening to everyone, or just me?

Courses added to groups without having selected a group

Hello everyone, I’m trying to disable the WooCommerce plugin while using the community. How can I do that? My community feels very heavy, but once I disable the WooCommerce plugin, it becomes fast again.

Hi there,

Is there any way to attach a playable audio in a post - not just playable video?
(audio from my Bunny.net storage)

I can perfectly attach these in my courses, but I would like to do this in the posts, like with videos.

(I know that I can do video with static image, but when I do only audio it would be much professional and also needs less storage.)

Thanks!
