I’m currently using BuddyBoss with TutorLMS, and I’ve done quite a bit of custom coding to style every aspect of TutorLMS to fit my site.

I’m curious if anyone here is using TutorLMS with FluentCommunity, what’s your experience been like?

A few specific questions I have:

1. TutorLMS has had many updates since it first launched, are there any major features in TutorLMS that I would lose or miss if I switch over to the FluentCommunity course system?
2. Is it easy to import existing courses from TutorLMS into FluentCommunity Courses?

The new messenger in FluentCommunity is significantly better than the previous version — faster, cleaner, and more functional. It is clearly a step forward.

However, there is a noticeable artifact left from the testing phase — the excessive panel width and the large textual label “Messages”.

What could be improved:

• Modern users do not need the full “Messages” text label — a clear, recognizable icon would be sufficient.
• Replacing the text with an icon would allow the quick-access panel to become noticeably narrower.
• The interface would feel lighter, cleaner, and less bulky, especially on laptops and smaller screens.
• The messenger would be perceived as a supportive UI element rather than a dominant visual block.

Conclusion:
A small adjustment (icon instead of text + reduced width) could meaningfully improve the overall UX and visual balance without affecting functionality.

I turned on the function to play embedded videos automatically with FLuent Player. (By the way i love it)

Seemed to work fine at first but then users started to report videos wouldn´t appear anymore at a certain point in the course. I double checked - the first 10-12 lessons were fine, then i started seeing the original vimeo player instead of Fluent Player. However, this seemed to be the case for admin accounts only, some of my users didn´t see the vimeo player but instead no video at all.

Checking all the other courses this seems to happen pretty randomly. Some Videos are embedded with fluent player, some still show vimeo and these are not shown to some users at all.

Anyone else experienced this behaviour?

Is  it wise to send all admin posts as announcements so that members will always be notified as soon as the post is made ? The main reason is to increase engagement.

Note : Not all members have activated push notifications . 

1. Default Dark Mode / No Flashbang
The page briefly flashes light mode on login before switching to dark, really jarring. Dark mode should load before the page renders. Would also love the ability to force dark mode by default for all community members.

2. Remove Full Name Requirement
My community uses nicknames only, but users can't save profile edits without filling in the full name field. Admins should have the option to disable it as a required field.

3. Reset Password It would be great to have both "Reset Password" option accessible while logged in, either from the top-right profile dropdown or within profile settings.

4. Custom Emoji Support
Upload custom emojis for better expression

5. Max Media Size & Compression Quality Control
Need a way to limit how big a file gets when uploaded by community members to save on resources

These are all quality-of-life focused but would make a big difference for community managers and members alike. Hope to see them on the roadmap!

I recently joined FC and wanted to flag an issue I've encountered with OpenGraph (OG) metadata rendering when sharing links on external platforms such as Discord.

When sharing links to posts, spaces, or other pages on my site, the preview generated by social platforms displays only a large banner image, with no title, description/excerpt, author name, profile image, profile badge, or website name shown.

I think that either the OG tags are missing, incomplete, or not being parsed correctly by platforms like Discord.

Expected behavior:
Links should generate a rich embed preview including:

• Page/post title
• Short description or excerpt
• Thumbnail/small preview image
• Author name (where applicable)
• Website name
• Full control on what shows up where

Only a large banner image is rendered with no additional metadata.

See attached screenshots for reference, one showing the current behavior on a Space link, and one showing what a correct rich embed looks like.

Shareability is a core part of community growth. Without proper OG support, links shared across social platforms fail to give context, which significantly reduces click-through and discoverability. Fine-grained OG control per post/space would also be a valuable long-term addition.

This bug is currently acting as a hard blocker for my launch. I have been holding off on both soft launching and going live with my site entirely because of how unprofessional the shared previews appear.

I would genuinely prefer zero OpenGraph output and a plain URL over the current state, a bare link is far less damaging to first impressions than a malformed, context-free embed.

It overrides the banner and again its a mess with everything mentioned above, those should be separated.

Hi everyone, I updated FluentCommunity and Messaging, but when I click Sync in LocoTranslate, no new strings appear. However, I still see English text on my site (for example in notifications: 'and 1 other people reacted to').

@Jewel, have the source files (.pot) been updated in this version? Or is it a configuration issue on my side? Thanks!
