I have two questions regarding access control and user permissions in FluentCommunity. I want to structure my community with different levels of access, and I’d like to confirm the correct way to set this up.

1. Space Permissions Setup
I need to configure a space with the following logic:

• All users (including guests) can view the content
• Only registered users can leave comments
• Only paid members (active subscription) can create new posts/topics

What is the best way to achieve this setup? Should this be handled via roles, permissions, or automation (e.g., FluentCRM / FluentAuth / Fluent Forms)?

2. User Profile (Social Links Restriction)
I want to restrict profile fields (specifically social media links) so that:

• Only users with an active paid subscription can add or edit their social media links
• Free or non-paying users should not have access to these fields

Is there a native way to control this based on user roles or membership levels, or does it require custom development?

Would appreciate a clear direction or best practice for implementing this.

Space moderators feel a bit too powerful to me. They can basically do almost everything an admin can: even remove or edit what the admin has written... I know I would never trust anybody if they could write, edit and remove whatever they like.

I’d really love more control over what they’re allowed to do. Being able to choose their permissions, depending on the situation or part of the community, would be more sensible.

Also, it would make a lot of sense to have a “one space-only moderator” role. That way, someone (or several individuals) could moderate their own space without being able to touch on the rest of the community.

You already have something similar for courses (course Admin; course creator), so it’s a bit surprising that spaces don’t work the same way...

Hoping these feature requests don’t go unnoticed this time…

1) Adding a course to a space

I’d love the ability to link a course directly to a discussion space by adding a dedicated tab, alongside “Space”, “Members”, “Documents”, and “Chat”, that points to the course.

This would allow each course to have its own official discussion space (or vice versa) without having the course placed with no context elsewhere (see screenshot).

2) Expanding profile tabs

(See screenshot) Beyond “About”, “Posts”, “Spaces”, and “Comments”, it would be great to include additional tabs such as:

• Mentions: showing every time the member has been tagged (@) (showing the impact the member has in the community)

• Documents: gathering all shared files (showing how helpful to the community the member has been)

• Courses: clearly separating

  • courses created (as instructor/author)
  • courses joined (as student)

This would make profiles much more complete and meaningful.

3) Pinning posts on profile pages

Members should be able to curate their own “Posts” section by highlighting selected content, either by pinning posts at the top or on the side, the way admins can already do within groups.

This would allow profiles to feel a tiny bit more intentional and personalized.

I can see the Spaces joined in the member information section, but I can’t see the courses I’ve enrolled in. To check, I have to look at the members of each course, but clicking the member count on the course screen doesn’t show the list. I have to click “Edit Course” to see the course registrants there. It’s too inconvenient.
This plugin is for a monetized community, but managing courses is too difficult.

I’d like to suggest improving the main feed (where posts appear) by dividing it into two sections:

1. All
Shows all public posts from forums/spaces and user profiles.

2. Following
Shows only:

• Posts from forums/spaces the user has joined
• Posts from accounts the user follows

I also suggest remembering the last selected section, so if a user was browsing the "Following" tab during their last visit, the same tab opens automatically when they return.

This would help organize the feed better, reduce irrelevant content, and provide a cleaner and more personalized user experience.

Could a general document storage area be added? Currently, documents are stored in separate sections, but there isn't one that displays all documents. Is this possible? I'd like to add a library link to the top menu so users can access all the community's documentation.

Has anyone else had the problem where community-uploaded files have been randomly deleted from R2?

I've checked with Cloudflare support and they've confirmed it's not an issue on their end so must have come from the community, except it's collectively and multiple user's images and videos were deleted at the same time.

Shahjahan Jewel would I be able to ask you to weigh in at all as this is quite concerning for a production site?

Anyone would like to heave more reaction options on posts and comments? Such as laughing emoji, crying emoji etc? I would like to have this a lot because for me is not Heart reaction useful for all kind of posts. For example Fluent Messaging these reactions on messages have already.

Because I use FC as public network, I would like to have sharing feature built in FC. To share posts on social media outside of FC. Can dev team think about this feature and consider building it in future to core?
