Any questions, please let me know π
David ChurchillΒ have been looking at the various options for this feature - so far, none seem to have the ability to take a payment --- seem to eb a key feature that would be required.
I prefer the version Ross FCAΒ
La Tribu DivingΒ okay, thatβs fine. Happy for you.
David ChurchillΒ I'm happy for myself too :-)
La Tribu DivingΒ no waitlist in Ross events.
La Tribu DivingΒ we did purchase this option -- its not great - and again, no payment option.
TonyΒ Nutley NutleyΒ I'm just adding some new features which should be available next week, then I'll be working on the payment options π
La Tribu DivingΒ there is no support from Ross FCAΒ - it disappears for 4 weeks now, can't reach him, can't get support... it is a mess! Switching to David ChurchillΒ solution after the tax issue is resolved!

It was updated twice this week and most of the bugs were fixed; as of today, it's the best version available. Fcom goes more than four weeks without an update and I don't see anyone complaining.
La Tribu DivingΒ I don't speak about update, I was speaking about support! There is none and if you are part of their community, you can see that I am not the only one. As of today, FCOM still didn't address the issue but it is okay as I moved away from it.
Great work. Do event organisers have to be Wordpress admins to add and manage their events, or can we define an event organiser role so they can add and manage events, but not have full admin access?
Coffs TrailsΒ users need to be FluentCommunity Admins, Mods or Members. You can then control who can add events in the Community or Spaces. WordPress Admin(s) do have full access in the Dashboard if needed.
Another question, before we abandon The Events Calendar for your plugin. We have some custom fields for our events, do you have a roadmap for the future that might include adding custom fields? We assign grades (easy, hard etc) and distance (eg 10km) to our events, these are custom fields. We use categories for the type of event (hiking, kayaking, cycling).
Coffs TrailsΒ ooh, interesting idea, I will definitely add this to the roadmap. Maybe options for you to add your own custom meta/fields.
Following this!
Fantastic effort and great pricing, too. I'm not quite there yet, but will certainly keep this in mind when the time for webinars comes.
David ChurchillΒ is there a way for members to subscribe to all events? Right now we are using The Events Calendar and people can add all the events to their Gmail, etc. If it's not part of it now, will it be in the future? I love that it will email reminders.
Hi Jen McFarlandΒ do you mean subscribe to a calendar / iCal feed? Itβs on the roadmap and should be available soon.
David ChurchillΒ Yes, that's what I meant. AWESOME!! Will get it then. That's the only requirement we have (members are spoiled by having everything on their calendar).
David ChurchillΒ Hi, I tried to buy it, but it wanted to charge me GB tax. The invoice says it's included but the total looks like it is:
- SpaceEvents (1-Site Lifetime License) Β£149.00
- SubtotalΒ£149.00
- GB Standard Tax (Excluded)Β£29.80
- TotalΒ£178.80
Thanks for your help!
Jen McFarlandΒ Saw the same issue and we are outside GB so don't get it. David ChurchillΒ ?
Jen McFarlandΒ Frederic SuneΒ apologies, I fiddled with the Tax settings and messed it up for non-UK customers. It's fixed again now π
Working on version 1.1.0 which will hopefully be ready this week, bug fixes, improvements and lots of new features, also been testing Payments, but this will likely be in v1.2.0.
David ChurchillΒ Thanks, just brought it and moving away of FCA...
Frederic SuneΒ no problem. If you have any questions or issues, please let me know.
Hi David Churchill, is it possible to associate a chat group or comments or similar with your events? Our use case is that our members register for a hiking event and then may discuss transport or accommodation or ask questions about gear needed etc.
Coffs TrailsΒ Iβm already looking at comments for events, so Iβll also look at options for creating an event chat group.
