I have been thoroughly enjoying Fluent Community. As I build with the platform, I would like to propose a couple of important ideas to further enhance the user experience.

1. Optional Minimalist Interface & Rethinking "Public" Boards

While Fluent Community offers an impressive array of features and details, some use cases require a heavily simplified, minimalist navigation.

• The Issue: Currently, the system assumes a "join/register" structure for all boards. Because of this, members can see a list of registered users, and these joined boards populate on user profiles. Even if we toggle certain modules on or off, the residual features tied to board registration keep the interface looking unnecessarily complex.
• The Suggestion: If a board is set to fully public, the concept of "joining" or "registering" shouldn't exist at all. Removing this requirement for public boards would make the platform much more intuitive and approachable for everyday users.

2. Seamless, Native Integration for Custom Pages

I spent a considerable amount of time comparing Fluent Community with SureDash. Although Fluent Community is overwhelmingly superior in its overall completeness, the biggest reason I ever considered SureDash was how naturally it embeds standard custom pages.

• The Issue: While integrating custom pages is possible in Fluent Community, applying the FC template slightly alters the UI, which disrupts a completely seamless user experience.
• The Suggestion: It would be incredibly helpful to have a more native approach to integrating custom pages, allowing them to blend perfectly with the rest of the environment without any awkward UI distortion.

I would greatly appreciate hearing the development team’s thoughts on these points. Thank you for your continuous hard work!

Does anyone know how to get FluentSMTP to work when using Localhost using Local?

The folks who are using the community page on my site are constantly having trouble logging in. It says that their session is expired but when they hit refresh it does not take them to a sign in page. . Anoher issue is when a person puts in their password that is correct, it says invalid request, please refresh and try again over and over. This is very frustrating and I am going to loose people very shortly.

Been heads-down since the Fluent Community 2.5.0 catch-up. The big one this round: responsive layouts are now wired through every screen in the app — architected in from the ground up, not bolted on as an afterthought. The part you'll actually use every day is landscape.

• Rotate your phone and the app rotates too — read posts, watch videos, and type messages sideways without the app locking you back to portrait.
• Landscape uses the extra width smartly — text caps at a comfortable reading width instead of stretching the whole way across, and feeds flow into columns instead of one stretched-out list.
• Messages goes two-pane when there's room — conversation list on one side, the thread on the other, so a wider screen actually shows you more.
• One smart sheet everywhere — menus and pop-ups slide up from the bottom in portrait and in from the side in landscape, automatically.

And because it's built this way from the ground up, it scales all the way up to tablets, foldables, and desktop too. But the everyday win is just turning your phone.

Under the hood, a security + reliability pass you'll feel without seeing:

• Stay logged in across all your devices. Phone, tablet, and laptop each get their own secure session and push token now, so notifications land on the right device and you're not getting bumped out by a flaky connection. Refresh tokens rotate automatically behind the scenes, and we raised the per-account device limit way up.

It's great that we can add a featured image to each lesson. But not so great is its fixed display size of 60px x 48px

When an image is uploaded the 150x150 thumbnail is selected, then object-fit: fill is used.

So images are always distorted, unless you use...

.fcom_course_sections .lesson_feature_media img {
    object-fit: scale-down;
}

...but then it's square.

The only other way around it is to make sure the uploaded image is 60x48, but how many clients are going to do that? 🤣

How can I DELETE members in my community? I accidentally uploaded all my email contacts and had them join ALL spaces. Delete them as a User or do I have to go into the database?

2 IMPROVEMENT SUGGESTIONS:

1. Make adding members to ALL spaces easier (without the need for FluentCRM)
2. Make it SIMPLE to delete members from community.

Is it possible to add more text editing features, such as adding bulleted lists and inserting images?

Has anyone configured an AI bot for FComm?
I'm dabbling with Flowmattic, and I'd appreciate any input for inspiration.

I’ve been building my business on Fluent Community, and I want to raise something important coming from a place of real frustration and disappointment.

Events are a core feature for any serious community platform.

Yet, this functionality was never developed natively by the Fluent team.

Because of that, some developers from within the community stepped in to fill the gap.

I chose to trust that ecosystem. I invested in an events add-on built by one of those early contributors, believing that people inside this community were building with consistency and long-term commitment.

But over the past month, that developer has completely disappeared, leaving the plugin unsupported.

This isn’t just a technical inconvenience. It’s a breach of trust.
I made a business decision and a financial investment based on the assumption that this ecosystem was reliable.

My business relies heavily on online events, and now I’m left exposed, without a stable solution.

At the same time, events have been repeatedly requested on the Fluent roadmap, yet there has been no clear action or communication from the Ninja Team.

So right now, we are in a situation where a critical feature is missing, and users are pushed to rely on third-party developers without any guarantees.

I’m sharing this because I believe it needs to be addressed openly:

• What is the official stance on events as a core feature?

• Is this something being actively developed?
• How are users supposed to safely rely on third-party add-ons for business-critical functionality?

This post comes from the reality of feeling “left exposed” after trusting and investing in this ecosystem.
Fluent Community has huge potential but if people are building real businesses on top of it, stability, accountability, and core features are not optional.
I would really appreciate a clear response or direction from the team.
