Is it possible to email a customer their magic url login link?

I was writing an email telling them to go to the login page and then to click the magic url button and then check their email, but if I could just send them the link that would be so much easier. Is that possible?

If you use FCRM, you can create a Smart Link (set it to redirect to your preferred page). And just activate the Auto login in the Smart Link creation process.

Hope it helps!

Very interesting Jorge de los ReyesΒ I love that. Thank you!
I will definitely use that on my sites but I am also trying to do this on a friend's site that doesn't have FCRM pro. Would be great if it's possible without it too,

NicolaiΒ Hopefully you can find the answer ! Let us know. I’m not very used to use the Magic login on FC, as FCRM feature usually works like a charm and even allows you to track clicks πŸ˜….

It’s also a cool automation feature (login as trigger), and a cool event for event tracking too (so as you can filter by smart links clicked).

So, I’ll tell your friend to switch to FCRM if you do not find the way πŸ˜‚: FC losses many interesting perks without FCRM

Yeah, I haven't used magic links much, but that all sounds really great, I can tell I will be using them a lot Jorge de los ReyesΒ

Hopefully my friend will too someday soon, depends on how good a job I do of impressing them with the free versions :)

NicolaiΒ it should work. So, just a question:

Are you using the visual composer or classic, HTML, or raw HTML?

I detected a while ago a bug that caused email tracking not to work in some formats. So maybe, this is another bug that could be fixed πŸ˜…

I’ll try the approach of smart links with different formats. And check if it works. And also check the original HTML once the email is received (remember: not on test email mode because that way it won’t work).

Hope it helps debugging!

I’ve been using buttons for auto login for a while now. And no problem at all. But the truth is, I have agents creating everything on HTML, so it’s supposed to be patched or fixed when this kind of problems arise. Maybe there is a wrap breaking the set up. Or a compatibility issue or alike πŸ˜…

I’ll have to check it now: because maybe there’s a bug after the latest updates that we have not noticed. But for now, we have no news on issues or problems with this approach.

I’ll try to check that personally later today and let you know just to confirm if it’s working smoothly (as always) on our side. Or to confirm that it’s not working anymore (hopefully not ahha).

NicolaiΒ Update: I have checked the set up. It works seamlessly πŸ˜„

So the only think I can think of about possible issues, aside the aforementioned ones, is that you may be trying to autolog FCRM users that have no synced Wordpress role or do not have actually any role / user created πŸ˜„

Sorry Jorge de los ReyesΒ I guess you got my message about the buttons not working before I deleted it. I found out that they do work when I paste the smartlink into a button, but if instead I select Smartlink from within the composer, the button doesn't show up when sent.

When the smartlink is pasted in, as you say, they work PERFECTLY. It truly is like magic. Thanks so much and sorry to waste your time. 😬

NicolaiΒ no problem! Just happy you managed to fix it πŸ˜„
