After Updating FC to 2.9.1 now my vimeo videos shrink in desktop and mobile. They tend to inherit the width size of the title.. Please I need it to be always 100% width of that container like it was in previous versions

On mobile, it’s not always easy to distinguish between sent and received messages at a glance.

Using different colors for each (similar to WhatsApp) could help a lot. In any case, making the distinction crystal clear would significantly improve the mobile UX.

I would like to suggest the development of a feature that would allow FluentCommunity profiles to be linked to one another through a relationship system.

The idea would be to allow members to establish relationships between their profiles and define the type of relationship.

1. Creating a relationship between two profiles

From their profile, a member could select another member and define their relationship:

• Father / Mother
• Son / Daughter
• Brother / Sister
• Grandparent / Grandchild
• Uncle / Aunt
• Nephew / Niece
• Cousin
• Spouse
• Partner
• Friend
• Colleague
• Business partner
• etc.

The system should also allow custom relationship types, so each community could define its own types of relationships.

2. Automatic reciprocal relationships

The system should understand that certain relationships are reciprocal.

For example:

Ahmed → Father → Mohamed

would automatically create:

Mohamed → Son → Ahmed

Likewise:

Ahmed → Brother → Karim

would automatically create:

Karim → Brother → Ahmed

This would prevent users from having to manually create both sides of the relationship.

3. Displaying relationships on the profile

A new section could be added to each profile:

My Relationships

For example:

Family

• Ahmed — Father
• Fatima — Mother
• Karim — Brother
• Sarah — Sister

Other Relationships

• John — Colleague
• Paul — Business Partner

Each person would be clickable and lead directly to their FluentCommunity profile.

4. Graphical visualization

Based on the relationships that have been created, FluentCommunity could automatically generate a graphical visualization of the relationships.

For a family, this could automatically generate a family tree.

However, the same system could also be used to represent:

• Families
• Teams
• Associations
• Organizations
• Professional networks
• Groups of friends
• Communities

5. People without a FluentCommunity account

It should also be possible to create a relationship with someone who does not yet have a FluentCommunity account.

For example:

Mohamed
→ Father: Ahmed — FluentCommunity member
→ Mother: Fatima — non-member

This person could be stored as an external person / non-member profile.

It could then be possible to invite them to join the community.

6. Invitations and automatic linking

An interesting feature would be:

“Invite this person to join my family / relationships”

The person would receive an invitation and, when they create their account, their new profile could automatically be linked to the existing relationship.

7. Permissions and privacy

The system should allow each member to control the visibility of their relationships.

For example:

• Private
• My relationships only
• My family
• Community members
• Public

It should also be possible for a member to accept or reject a relationship request made by another member.

8. Relationship requests

Rather than allowing anyone to directly create a relationship with another profile, the system could work through a relationship request.

For example:

Mohamed requests: “Are you my father?”

Ahmed accepts → the relationship is created.

This would help prevent false or unauthorized relationships.

9. A common technical foundation

Ideally, the goal would be to create a generic relationship system between users, integrated into the core of FluentCommunity.

Each relationship could contain:

Profile A → Relationship Type → Profile B

with:

• Relationship type
• Status (pending, accepted, rejected)
• Visibility
• Creation date
• Optionally, a start/end date
• Ability to edit or delete the relationship

Once this infrastructure exists, different features could then make use of these relationships, including a Family Tree Builder.

I believe this could become a very powerful feature for FluentCommunity because it would not be limited to genealogy. It could allow communities to build a true map of relationships between their members.

Would it be possible to evaluate the feasibility of such a system and consider integrating it into FluentCommunity, either as a core feature or as a dedicated addon?

I just recently started digging into Fluent Community and setting it up even though I bought the lifetime sometime last year...

It's absolutely AMAZING. I really mean it. You guys did such an incredible job developing this. Absolutely perfect for what I'm trying to accomplish.

Except 1 thing... :)

I have it set for 4 media attachments But it won't let me mix media.

I want to be able to put an image that would show as the post image, then maybe embed a video as part of the post, or embed other images.

I do a lot of teaching and my customers will post multiple images and sometimes a video as well so it would really be useful to have multiple media types available, and maybe a way to set which one could be the preview/main feed image.

This may already be a feature. So if it is, could you please just point me where to look. Otherwise please add it to the request list!!

Every single day of the year—365 days a year—at the same time (scheduled in advance) for years on end, I’ll post a 4k FluentPlayer video to a discussion space. Workout videos.

So, for example, over the course of 5 years, there would be 5 × 365 posts containing videos in the community; these videos wouldn’t be part of a course.

What would happen in terms of performance? Is anyone else doing something similar?

I would like a comment system that, when a user posts a comment on a blog post, it shows up in the feed. They would need to create an account or log in to post comments. Also, send them emails when another comment is made or they get a reply to their comment. Maybe even a push notification now.

We can use blog comments to grow our community.

Could also have share buttons on comments, upvotes, likes, etc.

Maybe even set post-comment actions. Anything from redirecting a commenter to a URL, showing related posts, giving social sharing prompts, or redirecting them into the community or newsletter sign-up.

When I add Bunny codes to lessons, the video loads quickly and I can switch between lessons, but with FluentPlayer it becomes very slow. Has anyone else experienced this?

I can't enable nothing on phone chrome browser, it keeps showing this.

I have strange bug on my site, it offers me everyday again subscribe to push notifications. Seems like next day I must allow them again, FluentNotify does not remember that I have notifications active already.
