π SEO / GEO: a new free extension for FluentCommunity
Hi everyone π
I just released SEO / GEO, a new free extension for FluentCommunity.
Your spaces, courses and conversations show up on Google with their real title, a description and a beautiful image, and AI tools like ChatGPT can recommend your community. You start with a preview, then go live in one click. Whatβs private stays private.
Free, as always. My little way of saying thank you to this amazing community β€οΈ

Iβd love to hear what you think! π
Good evening, I didn't quite understand what this plugin actually does in concrete terms to improve SEO for Google or AIs. Does the plugin modify the content of posts published within FC to optimize it? Does it affect the sitemap? Is this plugin standalone, or does it require the other SEO software you mentioned (SEOPress, Yoast, etc.)? Thank you.
Hi,
Thanks for your question.
Fluent Community lays the groundwork, but its public pages aren't fully ready for Google and AI. Shared titles can show "Joinβ¦", the share image is often the space's, and SEO plugins like SEOPress, Yoast or Rank Math don't see community pages. SEO / GEO handles all of this.
- Your posts: never changed. The plugin adds a proper title, description, share image and AI-friendly summary around each public page. Private spaces stay hidden.
- Sitemap: community pages are added to your existing one (SEOPress, Yoast, Rank Math or WordPress).
- Standalone: yes. With an SEO plugin installed, both work together, no duplicates.
- Also included: an SEO block inside spaces, courses, events and listings, a health score out of 100, visits from Google and AI tools (no cookies), and Bing notified on every new post.
See you
Dragan STAMENKOVICΒ : "Site map: community pages are added to your existing site map (SEOPress, Yoast, Rank Math, or WordPress)."
This raises a question: does this mean they are included in both the FC site map ("/portal/site-maps/index.xml") and the main site's site map ("/sitemap_index.xml")? If so, I wonder how this is perceived by Google and similar search engines?
Dragan STAMENKOVICΒ Thanks for your answer but it's not clear to me if to optimize SEO, Fluentcommunity needs tools like SEOPress, Yoast or Rank Math or not. I always heard that for posts created directly inside FluentCommunity, using SEOPress, Yoast, or Rank Math will not improve the individual SEO of the articles, because these SEO plugins are technically unable to read or modify content generated by FluentCommunity. But your video seems to show the contrary:

ProsperΒ Indeed, SEO solutions cannot read FC content. The extension doesnβt change thatβor rather, only partially.
This is because the SEO/GEO tool directly utilizes the generated sitemap and incorporates the community content into it, which saves time. Even if you donβt have those other plugins, the SEO/GEO tool still functions independently. The goal wasnβt to rebuild a full-fledged SEO extension, but rather to provide FC with everything necessary to ensure its community content is indexed by Google and discoverable by LLMs.
I hope this answers your question.
Claudy ScoufyΒ Thanks for the question!
When SEO/GEO is enabled, the Fluent Community sitemap is disabled. Instead, the sitemap provided by SEO/GEO is used. If an SEO plugin (such as SEOPress, Yoast, Rank Math, or the native WordPress SEO feature) is active, the community content is added to your siteβs main sitemap.
In any case, Google only ever has to process a single, complete sitemap, with no duplicates.
Dragan STAMENKOVICΒ Thank you for this information. So a new sitemap is generated in place of FC's and used by Google. I was wondering if, with your plugin, there was a way to address another limitation of FC's sitemap, which isn't optimized at all for sites publishing news articles that are also indexed by Google News. In fact, FluentCommunity's sitemap is a standard sitemap: it does not generate a dedicated Google News sitemap (which requires specific XML tags for articles under 48 hours old) and does not offer granular editorial control over each article's meta tags. The FluentCommunity sitemap falls short because it is a standard XML sitemap listing all public content: spaces, posts, space pages, and profiles. It lacks two things:
- The Google News extension: publication name, publication date, title;
- Targeting: a new article gets buried within the entire archive. However, a news sitemap must only include articles published in the last two days, with a maximum of 1,000 entries per file.
Does your plugin happen to support this as well?
ProsperΒ Thank you so much for this feedback, itβs excellent! You had anticipated what is happening, which, incidentally, reassures me regarding the use of SEO & GEO :) Google News was already planned: not for the first version of SEO / GEO, but for the next update, which is coming very soon.
Most of the work is already there, since SEO / GEO already builds its own sitemap. Hereβs whatβs being added:
- A separate Google News sitemap, with only posts from the last 48 hours, up to 1,000 entries.
- The information Google News asks for: publication name, language, date, title.
- You choose which spaces and collections publish news.
- Your articles presented as real news articles, with the author and a large image, so they can appear in Top Stories and Google Discover.
- Google is notified automatically, nothing to submit.
Article by article, you stay in control: title, description, share image, and the option to exclude an article from Google News while keeping it in Google.
The extension is free: create your free account on fcextensions.com and download it. Youβll get the new feature in your updates and can test it yourself.
Thank you very much Dragan STAMENKOVICΒ for all your amazing contributions to FluentCommunity ππ½
Jose FΒ Thanks you for your message βοΈEnjoy π
Is it possible to get a calendar where you can create schedules for members?
Nicole Piper (Niki)Β I think youβve posted in the wrong place. I donβt see how your request relates to the SEO / GEO extension
Dragan STAMENKOVICΒ I did sorry
