I'm building a marketplace plugin for FluentCart and gotta take some decisions. Iβm asking because most marketplace plugins, like Dokan and similar tools, create their own separate vendor dashboard. That usually means users on front end are moving between two different dashboards: the native commerce dashboard and the marketplace dashboard.
For FluentCart, Iβm wondering if the better UX is to keep everything inside one connected dashboard, especially because it would work smoothly inside the FluentCart SPA without full page reloads.
My current thinking is that a unified dashboard may feel cleaner because users do not have to jump between separate admin/vendor areas. But a frontend dashboard could also be useful for communities, vendors, and public-facing marketplace workflows. Curious what FluentCart/FluentCommunity users would prefer.
Would bei awsome if we have the opion to select special products for direct check widget - like it works for "by now" button. besuse if I just place it on my landing Page - it looks like that (if the cart is empty)
Hi,
I'm seeing a bug on my shop page where a large block of CSS is showing up as plain visible text, right above the products grid.
Site: https://america250.store/shop/ FluentCart version: 1.3.28 Theme: Astra Other relevant plugins: Spectra, LiteSpeed Cache
Screenshot attached.
I checked the page content in the editor β there's no CSS there. I also checked via the REST API and content.rendered doesn't include it either. The CSS only appears in the actual front-end HTML, inside the products block container, before any products are listed. The -- in the CSS variables are also being converted to β (en-dashes), which makes the text very visible on the page.
It looks like something in the FluentCart products block is outputting CSS as text instead of wrapping it in a <style> tag.
Can you take a look? Happy to provide more details if needed.
Thanks!
After the automatic update to WP7 today, several of the Fluent plugins no longer display properly in the Admin Panel. FluentCart, for instance, only shows the admin bar, but no content; I can't see my orders, customers or products. Fluent CRM and Forms do the same. Anybody else? Or is there something else I haven't figure out causing this sudden breakage?
For example, I have an annual subscription plan with a regular price of $100, but since it's the launch of a new product, I want to make it half price $50 for the first year.
Customer pays $50 for the first year, then the subscription automatically renews at $100 for the following year.
Any way to achieve that?
Next month in the Netherlands their will be new rules about refunds. When you have a sell B2B you have to make sure that a customer doesn't can by it. Is it possible to get an extra field on the checkout where businessowners can put their VAT number in?
Does Fluent Cart Work with Stripe COnnect Platform accounts?
My site has a dark background and I noticed all fluent products do not pull the global styling and they do not communicate with each other. Does this mean custom css through the entire fluent ecosystem?
Hi FluentCart team,
Iβd like to raise a GDPR compliance concern that I believe affects all EU-based stores using FluentCart.
The issue:
When a user starts the checkout process but does not complete the payment (abandoned checkout), FluentCart already creates a customer record in the database β including personal data such as name, email address, and billing information.
This is problematic under GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679) because:
β’ No purchase has been completed
β’ No explicit consent for data storage has been given at this stage
β’ Personal data is being stored without a valid legal basis
This means that simply visiting the checkout page and entering personal details β without completing the payment β results in permanent data storage, which is not compliant with GDPR requirements.
What I would expect:
Customer records should only be created after a successful payment has been processed and the user has actively agreed to the terms (which includes data processing consent).
Alternatively, a built-in option to automatically delete or anonymize abandoned checkout data after a defined period (e.g. 24β48 hours) would be a valuable and necessary feature for EU stores.
Is this something that is already on your roadmap? I would appreciate any guidance on how to handle this correctly in the meantime.
Thank you!
Hi everyone,
Iβm looking at using FluentCart subscriptions for downloadable PDF assets.
If a customer purchases a 12-month subscription to a PDF resource, can they log in to their account during that subscription period and access the latest version of the file if I update or replace it?
For example, if I upload Version 1 of a PDF today, then update it to Version 2 later, would active subscribers automatically be able to download the newest version from their account?
Iβd love to know how others are handling file updates for subscription-based digital products.
