The FluentPlayer 2.0 Series (Part 1): The "Smart Media Grid" for High-Converting Communities

Hi Jewel, the WPManageNinja team, and the Fluent Community,

Iโ€™ve been deep in this ecosystem for a while. Your backend is incredibly sharp. The way CRM, Automation, and Tagging work together is flawless.

But for this system to truly dominate the market, we need to solve a critical UI/UX bottleneck at the very first touchpoint.

The Problem: The "Wall of Text" & Performance Friction

Right now, the FluentCommunity "About" page forces users to read too much.

Modern audiences decide based on visuals and emotions first. If their first touchpoint is a wall of text, they bounce.

To build a high-converting landing page, creators are forced to install heavy Page Builders (like Elementor or Bricks) to hack a layout together.

The result: Bloated websites, slow loading times, and a broken user experience.

We need a Video-First approach. Something that connects instantly, with zero friction.

The Solution: The "Smart Media Grid"

1.00

We need a Native Gutenberg Block built directly into FluentCommunity that pulls the full power of FluentPlayer to the front end.

The Visual Layout:

  • Hero Stage (Top): A large, cinematic video player. This is where the most valuable message lives.
  • Discovery Grid (Bottom): A flexible grid for mixed media (videos, images). Absolutely no boring vertical lists.

The Auto-Flow Funnel: This grid shouldn't just sit thereโ€”it needs to act as an automated sales funnel.

  • Mixed Media: Box 1 plays the vision/intro video. Box 2 opens a Testimonial image popup.
  • Seamless Conversion: When Video 1 ends, it auto-plays Video 2, or immediately displays a Fluent Form overlay to capture leads.

Why this is a massive win for everyone:

1. Ecosystem Growth (Cross-selling): This transforms FluentPlayer from a simple video player into a Sales Funnel Engine. Users will have the ultimate reason to buy FluentPlayer to power their community.

2. The End of Page Builders: Bring lightness back to the platform. Creators can just drag, drop, and launch a professional storefront. No coding or patching required.

3. Zero-Friction Migration: A sleek, video-centric UI will pave the way for thousands of users from other platforms to migrate to Fluent instantly.

What do you guys think?

I currently manage multiple communities with over 10,000 members, and I am ready to migrate entirely to the Fluent ecosystem the moment this UI becomes a reality.

If you are tired of building slow, clunky About pages with third-party plugins and want a clean, high-converting native solutionโ€”please upvote and drop a comment below. Itโ€™s time we focus on creating content, not fixing technical layouts.

Looking forward to hearing from the Dev team!

Here are some related articles I've written previously about this idea and how it's now possible with FluentPlayer: Does FluentCommunity need a Group About Page (Group landing page)? & Collection including both Videos and Images like the Skool ๐Ÿ˜‰
