Does FluentCommunity need a Group About Page (Group landing page) ?

Why do you need a Group About Page?

  • Want an easy way to introduce your group and attract new members? Now you can create a custom About Page for your group! With this feature, you can:
  • Highlight the purpose of your group: Clearly explain what your group is about and why people should join.
  • Customize with images and videos: Add videos, images, and descriptions to make your page more engaging and informative.
  • Define membership requirements: Specify if your group is free or paid, reducing confusion when people request to join thinking the group is free.

How does it work?

  • For private groups: Non-members will see this About Page first when they click on any group link.
  • For public groups: Non-members will see this Page in the β€œAbout” tab.
  • For members: Once they join, they can review this introduction page in the β€œAbout” tab to understand the mission and information of the group.

What makes a Group Introduction Page attractive and successful?

  1. Introductory videos and images
  2. Transparent information about the group: Group type, Number of members in the group, Paid or free group, Who is the administrator Helps FOMO the group very well and brings high conversion
  3. Description of the group
  4. Funnel or Landing Page Link
  5. Customizable "Join Group" button Buy membership package or Survey question popup

Benefits of the Group About Page

According to sources, the FluentCommunity About page provides the following benefits for new users:

  • Clear group introduction:Β The About page allows group admins to highlight the group’s purpose and explain why others should join.
  • Detailed information:Β By adding videos, images, and descriptions, the About page becomes more engaging and informative for new users.
  • Avoids membership confusion:Β The About page enables admins to specify if the group is free or paid, helping new users understand this clearly and avoid confusion when requesting access.
  • Easy access to information:Β For private groups, non-members will see the About page first when clicking any group link. For public groups, non-members will see this page in the "About" tab. Group members can review group information in the "About" tab.

My thoughts (Hoang Hxn): We can create a Group About Page with a WordPress page builder but the obstacles are:

  • Difficult for beginners, Lack of automatic setup
  • No FluentCommunity Shortcode to get dynamic data such as: Community Type, Number of members...

The only thing to do when you want to attract members and Make Money from the community is to put your Community Referral link where your customers are. Because your About Page is your sales page 😏
