Urgent hotfix required β€” the Fluent Community invitation link is currently redirecting users to the login page instead of the registration/signup page. This is blocking new user onboarding and needs immediate attention.

  • Plugin has many strings which are not present and I am unable to translate them via Loco (Add members, Leave group, Delete group etc...)

  • I dont understand why are Spaces showed above personal conversations. Make some tabs to divide Personal / Spaces / Groups. Showing it in one window is serious mess.

  • Is there ability to change Icon of Group chat? I see option only to change Group name but I also found strings mentioning Icon Change...

  • Some parts of chat are not looking good in Dark Mode and will need some CSS work. Can you focus in in next update or should I make it on my own?

Overall I love this plugin and I hope you will keep improving it! :)

Hi team,

I would like to suggest more advanced privacy and permission settings for Spaces in FluentCommunity.

It would be extremely helpful if Space permissions could be controlled based on FluentCRM tags, membership roles, badges, or user permissions.

For example, I would love to have options like these:

Option 1

  • Space is publicly readable for everyone (including non-registered visitors)
  • Only paid members (for example PRO or VIP users) can create posts
  • Other users can only read content

Option 2

  • Space is publicly readable for everyone
  • Only paid members (PRO/VIP) can create posts
  • All registered users can leave comments under posts

This would be incredibly useful for building hybrid public/private communities where public content helps with SEO and community growth, while posting privileges remain limited to paid members.

Looking for a Business Listing function for FC before I can use it. I know Ross RC has one in the pipeline eventually but interested in anything else available?

Been away from FC a short while so a bit out the loop!

The support team asked me for staging site credentials to investigate an issue, and I realized I don't even have a staging site yet. πŸ₯Ί

I've done my initial research and found two ways to go about it: 1. Creating a staging site with xCloud 2. Using a staging site plugin.

But I'm looking to learn the best method to handle it and any best practices from the FC founders here. All thoughts and suggestions are greatly appreciated. TIA! πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ™

How have you created a staging environment?

Hi everyone / devs,

I'm building a custom integration on my site and hoping someone knows if a specific URL routing feature exists yet for the Fluent Community Chat SPA.

The Setup: I have a custom post type (Listings) outside of the community portal. I have added a custom "Message" button to these listings. When a logged-in member clicks it, my PHP script intercepts the click, logs a lead generation task in Fluent Boards, and then uses wp_redirect() to send the user into the Community Portal to start chatting with the agent.

The Issue: Currently, I am redirecting them to the base chat route: https://mydomain.com/portal/chat. This successfully opens the messenger, but the user still has to manually search for the agent to start the conversation.

My Question: Is there a specific URL parameter, hash, or deep-link route that the Vue router accepts to automatically open a direct message conversation with a specific user?

For example, is there something like:

  • mydomain.com/portal/chat?user_id=123
  • mydomain.com/portal/messages/username
  • mydomain.com/portal/user/123/message

If this isn't natively supported via URL parameters yet, is there a known workaround to force-initiate a DM with a target ID when dropping a user into the SPA from an external WordPress page?

Thanks in advance for any insights!

Hi Fluent Community team,

I wanted to ask whether there is currently support for using WordPress shortcodes inside Fluent Community.

One feature that would be incredibly useful for us is the ability to embed shortcodes from other plugins directly into Fluent Community spaces, posts, feeds, or custom areas within the platform.

We use several plugins across our website that provide useful functionality through shortcodes, and having the ability to integrate those directly into Fluent Community would make platform development and design much more flexible and powerful.

At the moment, we’re unsure whether:

  • Shortcodes are already supported in Fluent Community
  • There’s a workaround or integration method available
  • Or if this functionality is planned for future development

If this feature is not currently available, we’d love to suggest it as a feature request. We believe shortcode support would greatly improve customisation possibilities and help users create more advanced, app-like community experiences using their existing WordPress plugin ecosystem.

Would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Thank you!

Hi Fluent Community team,

I wanted to ask about how push notifications are supposed to work within Fluent Community.

We currently have a Push Notification plugin installed (via SuperPWA) and connected to our website, and from what we understand, it appears to integrate with Fluent Community. However, the functionality does not seem to be working properly. At the moment, users only receive notifications via email, but not through mobile push notifications.

We’re planning to develop our Fluent Community platform into a mobile app experience, so having reliable push notification functionality is very important for community engagement and real-time interaction.

Right now, it feels like there may be a missing integration layer or settings connection between the push notification plugin and Fluent Community itself. We were wondering:

  • How are push notifications intended to work with Fluent Community?
  • Are message notifications supported by push notifications?
  • Are mobile/app push notifications currently supported?
  • Is there an additional setup or integration step required?
  • Are there plans to improve or expand this functionality in the future?

If this feature is not fully developed yet, we’d definitely love to suggest it as a future enhancement because it would add significant value for communities looking to create app-like experiences with Fluent Community.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and guidance.

Thank you!

Hey everyone,

I’ve been deep in the WordPress community ecosystem for a while now, and like many of you, I’m obsessed with the "everything under one roof" philosophy. If I can run it on my own server and own the data, I’m in.

However, I hit a massive wall recently. As my coaching business grew, my 1-on-1 feedback started leaking out of my site and into a "tab safari" of Loom links, Slack DMs, email threads, and Google Drive folders. It was clunky, and I felt like I was becoming a professional calendar manager instead of a coach.

I looked at SaaS tools like VideoAsk or Clarityflow, but I hated the idea of:

  1. Paying another high monthly subscription.
  2. Sending my clients to a third-party platform where I don't own the history.

So, I decided to build the "missing layer" for WordPress. I call it CoachRelay.

The goal was to create a professional async coaching workflow that stays native:

  • Kill the Calendar: Instead of 30-minute Zoom calls for every check-in, I handle it via threaded async video on my own time.
  • Multi-Coach Ready: I can actually route students to specific coaches on my team without sharing one Loom login.
  • Total Ownership: The videos and the conversation history stay on my domain, under my brand.

I’ve finally got it running smoothly alongside my community setup, and it’s been a game-changer for my high-ticket members who need that personal touch without the "Calendar Tetris."

I’m curious to hear from the other coaches here: How are you handling private 1-on-1 video feedback right now? Are you just using DMs, or are you still duct-taping five different apps together to make it work?
