Hi everyone,
Iβm exploring FluentCRM and need some clarification aboutΒ 1-to-1 emails from staff members.
Hereβs what Iβm trying to achieve:
- Each staff member should be able to sendΒ personalized 1-to-1 emailsΒ to clients.
- Emails should appear as coming from theΒ staff memberβs own email address, separate from the global bulk email address used for campaigns.
- Ideally, staff couldΒ select their own email from a dropdownΒ or similar, rather than typing it manually every time.
Hereβs what I know so far:
- In the βSend Custom Emailβ screen, theΒ From Name/Email fields are manual entry.
- Templates can pre-fill the fields, but you need a separate template per staff.
- Automations can use dynamic βFromβ emails via merge tags, but that doesnβt help for manual 1-to-1 emails.
My questions for the community:
- Has anyone implemented aΒ dropdown list of staff emailsΒ for 1-to-1 emails in FluentCRM?
- Any tips, plugins, or workarounds to make it easy for staff to send emailsΒ from their own address without manual typing?
Thanks in advance for any insights! π
β οΈ If you allow guest orders on your Woocommerce site + you have used or Using the Woo Sync function, then you might be sending emails to past users who chose to unsubscribe.
When someone is not a registered user and has placed a woocommerce order and later chose to unsubscribe, the moment you use the Woo Sync function, all these guest users are RESUBSCRIBED.
In later campaigns you create they'll receive emails again!! This will certainly affect your emails being flagged as spam or abusive and it will hurt your domain reputation.
I learned this the hard way after receiving a very frustrated customer phone call threatening to report me to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) because he unsubscribed a couple of times and on my end the past few months I've used the Woo Sync function 2-3 times without suspecting such a thing.
If you have used the Woo Sync function, please, check everybody your data not to end up in a similar situation.
I reported this 4 days ago and I respect that the FluentCRM team is doing their best and have fixed the issue as they say (they haven't released the update yet) but this flaw is not something that has to be fixed secretly. Everyone should be aware and unsubscribe users manually by going through their past campaigns and check all the contacts who chose to unsubscribe and unsubscribe them manually.
When dealing with lots of automations, sequences, and tags (which is inevitable) itβs best to be able to quickly access them via folders so we can create categories.
there is a feature for tagging things like automations which is sort of like a folder, but tagged items are not automatically sorted by tag requiring you to actively filter for the type of tag your looking for which is very clunky.
looking at a plugin like wicked folders for example, I can easy create folders for pages and itβs pretty amazing.
if there was someway to have that feature in fluent crm for compains, tags, automations, sequences, etcβ¦
That would be amazing!!!
Would be great if there was an option to add documents to a contact. Now I need to add an activity and put an external link on it to keep my documents and contracts with the contact, that is not really handy
Is there a way to connect Twilio SMS to FCRM to send messages. Some of our customers prefer to be contacted vie SMS. anyone had success. I know Fluent Forms has the integration built in.....
i read a whatsapp integration to bulk send whatsapp campaign by whatsapp api to contacts.
Is there any eta on this feature?
I see FluentCRM as the most robust (and flexible) email marketing and automation offering for Wordpress. So much potential, but I also fear it (and the entire Fluent suite) becoming another Zoho-ish product.
Zoho offers infinity products and none of them really are polished (not trying to downplay Zoho just speaking freely and factually). If you go to the support forums you'll see a ton of basic functionality being requested and ignored for years.
But this basic functionality is often the difference between developer's capabilities and end user's needs. There is almost always misalignment between the two with SaaS products.
FluentCRM seems like a good product that was on its way to be great but then focus shifted elsewhere and now it's just being maintained as good.
Through more recent conversations with support I have the feeling that the Fluent team may not understand some of the basic, most prevalent, use cases for a lot of their products. For instance, I asked if custom fields could be created via API for folks migrating to FluentCRM from platforms like ActiveCampaign and the rep didn't understand why that would be important. Which made me wonder...are you even expecting people to migrate to your platform?
I could list more but the point is that there is definitely a disconnect between common market use cases and developers responsible for making it happen.
All of this to ask, what should I expect for FluentCRM?
I see FluentCommunity and FluentCart as large undertakings. Prior to both of these being launched FluentCRM hasn't really gotten an update visually or functionally (not dismissing the releases more so talking about more meaningful product updates that improve the experience visually and functionally). And it looks less likely for any major update now.
To be fair, if the vision is to have a presence in the Wordpress ecosystem but not dominate that informs how I approach FCRM. If it's to be the best, cost-effective software with the most power; that's extremely interesting and appealing to me. But it also gives me different expectations.
Anybody else have similar (or differing) feelings?
A lot of times I wonder if I'm expecting greatness that they don't desire to achieve. As of right now, there aren't a lot of Wordpress competitors but that can easily change (I would actually welcome it, as it may light a fire under them to be great).
BTW...I use FCRM (migrated from GetResponse) for one of my brands and it outperforms GR in every way. Which is really the source of me wanting this software to be great(er).
Hi, in an automation, I provide a link to a PDF document.
I want to set a tag when that document is actually opened/downloaded.
In FluentCRM, what is the best way to do this? With 'link click' benchmark or smartlink?
When I use benchmark, how can I prevent that my automation steps are skipped when someone clicks that link?
And with smartlink, can I set this straight to the (external) pdf file?
Hi is it possible to update the list of industry types in the companies section to make it more meaningful to me. TIA
Just want to voice my appreciation to the team for the tag- and list-wise reporting added in this release!
This is a massively useful feature for the company I work for, and removes the need for a lot of hacky manual work we regularly do.
Thank you Shahjahan JewelΒ !
