Today, the German Bundesrat converted an EU regulation (https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=CELEX:32023L2673) into national law. Shop operators are now required to introduce a clearly visible button for canceling orders.
The button must meet the following requirements:
Clear and unambiguous labeling – e.g., “Cancel contract”
Three-step process:
- Click on the button → Redirect to confirmation page
- Second click on “Confirm cancellation”
- Confirmation: automated confirmation of receipt by email required
The cancellation function must be easy to find and permanently available:
- Clearly visible placement, e.g., highlighted in the footer of the website
- No simple text link such as imprint, privacy policy, or contact page
- Not hidden behind login or download
- Barrier-free design
- Availability throughout the entire cancellation period
As this is an regulation valid for the whole EU, there is a requirement to add such support to FluentCart - is this known and are there plans to introduce such a meachanism?
I purchased FluentCart. But the license and purchase are in a new account now? Is that needed? Or can it be redirected to the account where all my purchases are in?
I"m curious so see some examples of fluentcart being used live and in the wild and how people have used it. Or maybe fluent cart with fluent commuity. I haven't launched a live site with it yet, still working on a community for my rec club with about 500 members, so I'm not trying to self-promote anything here, just curious if people have links to share. I'd love to see what others are doing with it.
