What is the one feature holding you back from launching your community?
I’d love to hear what’s currently standing between you and your launch date.
The number of hours in a day and the number of hands/brains available to work on the project. 😰 I’m not sure if slow & steady or fast & exhausted are going to win the race - but between the Ninjas and Ross FCA tech is no longer holding the project back.
As my community is going to be all about helping people set up their communities, I've decided to build in public in the new year. Eek!

I am trying to start a community that will involve a LOT of photo sharing. Sometimes people will upload 50+ photos to one post.
Anyone have any tips? Obviously I will be offloading to a bucket somewhere and using a CDN. I am more concerned about how Fluent will handle it on the UI side

Kyle Darling I plan to release Essex County Nature Photographers in the new year. We will limit photo uploads to 5 per post. Experimenting with F-Forms to upload as we want EXIF metadata to be part of the post. We are also Smushing the images and serving from Bunny CDN.

Andre Gois Absolutely! You will definitely need the professional version of Forms.
I need two things that are crucial for my community:

Native audio player for posts. Being able to embed & play MP3 / WAV files in posts directly like it can be done with videos.

Event Feature. Being able to create live events showing necessary details such a date, time, etc and where members can RSVP on one click.

JF +1 on the native audio player, which would be a media player that supports both video and audio (similar to Presto Player's functionality). There have been a lot of requests for this and numerous community efforts at workarounds, but absolutely nothing from Shahjahan Jewel every time this is raised, which I find quite disheartening to be honest. One user said he'd tested a player late last year, which sounded extremely promising, but again, Shahjahan Jewel made no comments. It's given me pause on Fluent. So if you ask what's holding us back - it's a native media player that supports both audio and video.
DD thanks. Yes, sadly we haven't received any feedback from Shahjahan Jewel or the team on this one. At least if they are considering to include it or not. There is already a native video player and I can imagine that it wouldn't be that hard to include at least the WordPress audio player found in the native WP Guttenberg Editor. Let's hope to get feedback soon.

The fear of the whole traffic issue of speed and crashes - assuming the campaigns are successful and bring in a lot of traffic (free community)

Andre Gois honestly i'm wasting so much time with the server issues . sometimes dont want my community to grow so i couldnot hande the server issues.. (that's redicouls as this is the main gowl - more members) hate it that i cant focus the business. feel i cant trust any platform. must see a really big succesfull comunity to believe it can work as a facebook group ... without worries. i'm a c# developer btw.

Thanks - I’ve created a small MU plugin that automatically syncs the WordPress display name with FluentCommunity when it’s updated, so the correct public/business name shows consistently across posts, comments, and profiles without affecting first and last name fields.
