Custom Default Images for Cards View
The Cards view looks great when people actually add images to their posts, but when they don’t, the cards feel quite empty and a little sad, as in the example below.
Could we have the option to choose a default image to replace the current placeholder? Ideally, this image would only appear in the Cards view and wouldn’t be added to the actual post when someone clicks on it.
It would also be great if this could be customisable, for example:
- Use the same default image for all posts across the community
- Use different images depending on the space they appear in
- Rotate through a set of images every X number of posts
That would make the Cards view feel much more visually appealing even when posts don’t include their own images.
I'd really like to see the possibility to choose a Card-Image, when there's also a video...in this case i could always have something like "Q&A Office Hours" Card-image although there's a video attached. ATM a video frame is the card image by default.

In cards view, if a post has no image, it shouldn’t show a default image or placeholder. Hiding it to only show the title and content would actually look much better, creating a nice dynamic waterfall effect.
Tawsif Ahmed Riyad I appreciate it. I’ll try to add the snippet mentionned in the comments. But that wouldn’t give the options i suggested (different images depending on the Space or different images every x post).
