FluentCommunity - New Preview Build
We just deployed the current dev build in this portal. We are still working on a few things but you will get loads of features and UI improvements. Please note that this preview version is not available for you yet.
New Goodies:
- Brand New Unified Interface (not the final version yet)
- New Profile Design with rich text support for about section
- New Leaderboard Design
- Post now supports Title (optional)
- Now you can customize your email notification preferences
- Load time improvements (around 20%)
- You can now select in which space you want to post when posting from the homepage.
- And lots of new features and improvements for Admin/Moderators
Things we are working on:
- Mobile responsiveness
- A few bugs that we are still resolving
- A few course-related features
- Re-writing the whole FluentCRM integration (It will be awesome)

Since the first installation I can't update by clicking the Check for updates button. Nothing happens, I can't figure out why.
When trying to download from the link via the form, the previous version 1.0.72 is downloaded.

Andrey Golovinov, there is no release for our Wordpress instance yet. We can only figure it out here all those new features yet 😉 No worries I also had the same impression that we have a new plugin update.

Florian Jose Luis Duron something like this. Mabye the title could be slightly smaller. Currently it's also marked in the feed body instead of the feed header, which makes no sense to me from a html semantic pointview:
Wilco W Your layout suggestion only works for short titles. If the title or username is longer or the specific community is shown after the time stamp, the two will clash or get truncated.

Is it the "roadmap" an external link/iframe? If I click on it, dark mode disappears.
Great addition, thanks! The one thing I noticed that should be improved (from my pov):
I can't open an internal link (e.g., Leaderboard, Profile, etc.) in a new tab by holding down 'cmd' (Mac) while clicking.
Instead, I have to right-click and select 'Open link in new tab.'
I'm not sure how this affects accessibility, but just for me as a normal user it felt a bit inconvenient having to right-click just to open an internal link in a new tab ;-)
Sascha, noted. We will make it work. It does not work now because we are actually doing internal routing as it's a single page application.
Yes, please more FluentCircle. Circle has a good UX/UI, so you can take a lot of inspiration from them. Also I think that mobile first approach is not a bad idea for community like app. For example Courses feature in your implementation has a split view layout and it looks a little bit complicated.

Pierre Debraux, had to disable chat as the chat plugin is not compatible in this bleeding edge version.
Sharing my feedback (not sure if this posted already in other comments since I am testing it yet):
- for User Profile please - change the Posts Lazy load into the paging view (I am unable to preview my posts in a easy way due to the number of posts) so we can visit the user profile display 150 posts/comments per page and use CTRL+F to search for a word (if needed).
- for User Profile please - display a number of posts - similar to comments tab.
- for User Profile please - add << first/last >> page icons for posts paging (bottom screen) - verify on mobile view. If paging is available also for Posts please also mirror the same
- for User Profile please - please add Copy icon to comments so it is easy on mobile to get it. Should we be able to Edit comments from there too (not only delete?)
- New Light/Dark mode icon is really nice but need to check if it works everywhere + Powered by Fluent Community link in the left bottom is Ok in the Free version I guess - in Pro we can replace it with our own link?
- In the Members area - All members compact list looks good - I am just wondering if a border around user picture profile could have a green color (if the user is online) instead of green dot. Also it would be nice to have the ability to change the status to hidden (especially for Admin needed).
- In the Members area - the Members search field could popuplate users when seaching (if it wont slow down the plugin of course). I wish to have there Members filter (by Joined Date, by Last Seen Date, by status).
- For the Leaderboard "i" icon there is still html code in the popup window: "\1 like = 1 point\" - but it was already reported by users before.
- Notification Ringbell icon popup still dont have Mark all as read button (on the popup).
- In general you have implemented super UI/UX tweeks!
- Post Title option? - great!.
- Load time? - Speedy Gonzalez.
- for User Profile please - Improve fields border color or background color for User Social Links area (Dard Mode) so it is more visible.
- for User Profile please - Change the Update Notification Preference button - unless Green color means new feature indicator.
- for User Profile please - Notification Settings location might be hard to spot it at the first time maybe it would be better to add it as a tab (next to About/Posts/Spaces/Comments).
- Select Space when posting from the homepage - really useful. It would be awesome to have this available for moving posts between spaces (even by Admin/Moderator only - once it is moved a notification is send to the post owner).
- I think you fixed issue with single attachment - now it can be open in the popup when added at the first time.
- Cannot see who liked comments anymore (it would be nice to have the same feature replicated for comments (if its not too heavy).
- Still cannot add a giphy at the first time to the post/comment so it is not fixed.
- There is an issue when deleting a post - the second DELETE popup has incorrect z-Index so it is hard to click it - check on mobile.

I hope we will be able to configure more granular notifications in a future but for now it is really good
there is a strange behaviour if I try to add two links in one post. When I copy the first url and add it to selected text in post then it is populated in the bubble menu for link, however when I try to add the second copied url to the next selected text > when I click the icon add url there is automatically populated the previous url and sometimes when I past the second link it add the url text to already populated text in the bubble menu - not sure if its just on my end. So I need to make sure that in this case scenario the url field in the bubble is cleared out manually before pasting the second link.
It looks like the user Last Name field is populated when empty with the previous value - I am not sure if this is the final release here yet but if the admin try to edit my profile there is a value: Important (my previous value for Last Name) populated (I cleared this out this morning and Save it with empty value) - I am not sure why this still happens here.
I am not excited about populating user email address in the Community User Profile (espiecially for SuperAdmin & Admin details) since it might be an issue if somehow bad actor could get access (session takeover, privilage escalation etc).
Even WP-Admin user with the Edit permission could see it here in fCommunity (and Edit Permission is not the same as Admin Role so we need to be careful when accepting/adding users to the fCommunity for workers/stakeholders/copywriters so they wont get this sensitive data ("security breach"?) "without" the Admin awareness). Maybe admin could enable/disable this user email field feature in the profile.
ps. Maybe I am just dreaming too much...
Maybe it would be good to add two buttons to the notification icon: Mark All as Read (reported already) + Notification Manager (so the user can easily find this)
Adjust the link hover color in the Dark mode for Powered by FluentCommunity
Correct the bubble color in DarkMode for the Leaderboard i - info icon. It is too Light for eyes (grey backgound could be a bit better).
Also if possible please add number of users to each Leaderboard level so other users can see where they are. Also I would like to filter the Leaderboard with option to show last 12 months vs All time data AND per Space so it is easier to spot the Leader from a particular Space rather than from everything (including hidden Spaces from regular users)
For the top Members list link (including Spaces Members list too) we could have two columns (list view/grid view) for Desktop users unless we need to see user full description there
Chat functionality is disabled here but probably you are working on it - so no issue at all
We could also specify notification for Bookmarks in the notification manager so if the user added a bookmark then he will be notified when there are updates in that post
Add to the Members list pagination an optionn how many items/members per page can be displayed by default is 20/page but it should be also similar dropdown as in the user profile Comments tab pagination ups this is (20/page) implemented but not visible on Mobile
The left sidebar doesn't close when clicked outside (user needs to click the hamburger menu icon again) - Mobile view only case since the left sidebar is collapsable on Mobile
The Light/Dark Mode can be moved to the top right dropdown list - it takes only a space on Mobile but also it is not needed to use it so often. It is also better to have an easy access to the search icon where there is a bit space from the left side to the search icon
Add the option for admin to specify how internal and external links are being opened. It might be crucial to have this option implemented also for internal links in case we won't find a way how to go back to the previous place before we click the internal link

Team...I am attempting to upgdate the plugin via Wordpress. I still only see version 1.72. Do I need to download and install...or should the wordpress plugin update see the latest version and offer that to me as normal...thx

Wilco W, because I did not add the title for this post. So when you add a title on a post that will be clickable. By the way, you can also click on the timestamp to go to the single post page.
Shahjahan Jewel, hmm oke. It looks like a title haha. Timestamp works, but a ui element might be better? Like an 'expansion' icon or something. just a few cents : ) all feedback is positive :)
Some more thoughts:
I feel like the 'disable comments' on a topic should not be visible if you are not allowed to use it. Currently it just says your not allowed to, but if your not allowed why should you show it? :)

Topic Curation: I want community managers to be able to move whole post/conversations to another subject / main menu discussion. This allows a community manager to curate topics into most relavant discussions. If a user drops a question in the wrong discussion topic, a quick 'change topic' and the post is moved to a more appropriate location.

My main issue with any community such as Circle, Facebook Groups, etc is that I rely on the search way too much. There should be a place to go to read through actionable, and high value posts without all the filler posts. All Killer, No Filler

How easy is it to add tabs to the profiles? To display other custom post types, etc?
Ryk Melck, I need to add tabs to the user profile like for example, a tab for Articles (with sub tabs draft; published), a tab for My Trips (with sub tabs as well) where trips is a CPT that members can create from the front end. As well I need to be able to add tabs to the Spaces and let Members of a certain membership level create new Spaces. I can currently do all of this with the community plugin I am using but would love to move to a more "lean" plugin.
As well, I need to be able to categorize the Spaces and control access to certain categories of spaces depending on the membership level.
I will use another plugin to control the memberships and access control but I need the ability to customize and add tabs and sub-tabs to both user profiles and spaces and categorize spaces.
Nadine, I'm sure about adding tabs to a members profile. But you can create sub menu links in a space.
Spaces can also be made secret, so no one will be able to see this from the front-end. Only if they have access.
Only additional manager can can perform certain tasks. I have not tested this yet.
FluentCRM will be able to control the memberships for you. I know they are working on more automations for this.

Will there be an option to disable threaded comments if we want to? For very long topics I much rather have a quotes option then threaded conversations, because it will get scattered around too much.

Shahjahan Jewel You are probably already aware of it, but the current UI doesn’t follow the accessibility guidelines. Try navigating it with a keyboard, and you immediately run into issues. There are also lots of HTML semantic issues that need to be resolved. These are the same issues found in other WPManageNinja plugins, but they need to resolved in FluentCommunity since they affect end-users (unlike e.g., FluentCRM).
