Drip Content
Hello FC Team,
Is there any timeline for when we can expect a standard drip content feature for courses in Fluent Community?
At the moment, itโs only possible to set time-based restrictions, where modules are unlocked on specific days. However, I need a setup where users cannot access the next lesson before completing the previous one.
My courses are often structured in a way that each lesson builds on the previous one. If someone skips a lesson, it can easily create confusion and may even lead them to drop out entirely.
Additionally, the current scheduling options only apply to modules, not individual lessons.
These are quite essential features for a course platform, so Iโm a bit surprised theyโve taken this long to implement.
Or is it possible that Iโve misunderstood something, and this functionality is already available? If so, I would really appreciate any guidance on how to set it up. ๐
Thank you!
agreed, this is a blocker for me in moving from LearnDash.
I will forward this post to our team for review in the upcoming meeting. Letโs hope for the best. Thank you for the post.
Tawsif Ahmed Riyadย Thanks, I am surprised this is not discussed earlier already because this feature request is mentioned already many times. (Just search on drip and you'll find many posts and comments) I also would love to see this feature implemented!
Gee Adriaansz,ย I have already searched a few hours ago and saw the counts. We are reviewing "users cannot access the next lesson before completing the previous one."
Tawsif Ahmed Riyadย I would really love to have the option to drip lessons daily, not just entire sections.
This is important for my courses because I release one lesson per day for my clients.
Iโd also love the ability to send them a direct message notification like, โLesson 14 is now available,โ instead of having to rely only on sections and email.
Lamiaย absolutely critical!
Tawsif Ahmed Riyadย This is so critical, so we could set the date for the lesson.
I just started a course, and students mark the lesson done even if it has no content.
I know I can set them as drafts, but then students are not seeing the full curriculum.
Hope we will have this feature soon. ๐

What I said here has been done; it is in the review phase right now. The sequential lesson lock feature will be added if the review is passed.
Tawsif Ahmed Riyadย Thank you! โค๏ธ๐
Dripping lessons (sequential lesson lock) available in v2.5.0
Tawsif Ahmed Riyadย Oh yeah! Thanks! ๐๐
Does the update also include the option to choose the time for a single lesson?
Right now, it seems I cannot find that option.
Drip content is available, but choosing a time for a single lesson does not seem to be available. Or I just cannot find it โจ๐
Armin Pajula, only default lesson dripping. Time choosing is available only at the section level (structured/scheduled course types).
Tawsif Ahmed Riyadย Okay, thank you! ๐
I hope that feature will be added soon. As all of my courses are live courses, and I need that feature to stop people from accessing future lessons ๐
Is this implemented in the update, because I don't see it yet? ๐ซฃ
Course Settings > Lesson Order Enforcement.

Tawsif Ahmed Riyadย thank you but that is to complete each lessen but not drip the lessen instead of the module or did I not understood it? ๐ซฃ๐
Marian Palsgraaf, currently on scheduled/structured course type, only section level can be dripped.
Tawsif Ahmed Riyadย Thank you. I asked. because I saw your comment: https://community.wpmanageninja.com/portal/post/drip-content?comment_id=54559
