Would you use credits?

I'm polling for the interest in credits system.

The usecase: there is a system that you can use to create credits/points with, with that credits you could do stuff like create subscriptions for booking, support,.. one specific booking costs 1 point of type A, a support ticket costs 1 point of type B,

You could also use this as storecredit, or to payout affilliates

Would you use this?

Why not just make it easier for the users? A single credit point that can be used anywhere like how EU did with Euro. You can use Euro anywhere within EU. When you add multiple type of credits it may get complicated.

Shahjahan JewelΒ the idea behind the creditsystem I have in mind is to provide a way to pay for services without a money value.

For example the yogastudio, they could have subscriptions for severall classes and workshops where some are more expensive than others. So they buy a subscription for grouplessons and a subscription for private lessons. If you just give a wallet, they would only buy one πŸ˜‰

Natascha VantuykomΒ looks a bit like the credit system from Domestika. They have a subscription that is paid by year. You will get 12 credits and with this you can buys courses for 1 credit each instead or money.

I like the idea.

Gee AdriaanszΒ this is exactly the kind of use-case I have in mind πŸ˜€

Shahjahan JewelΒ I truly believe a credit-based system inside FluentCart would be a strategic upgrade β€” not just a feature.

Here’s why it matters from a real business use case:

In my ecosystem, users (real estate agents) need to purchase things like advertising boosts, seller leads, marketing materials, etc. If they had to pay separately for every single lead or action, most of them simply wouldn’t do it. The friction is too high. Each purchase becomes a micro-decision.

But when they buy credit packs upfront, everything changes.

  • The decision is made once.
  • The money is already committed.
  • Spending becomes fluid.
  • Usage increases naturally.

Psychologically, credits reduce payment resistance. Operationally, they simplify micro-transactions. Strategically, they increase average order value and recurring revenue.

For example:

β€’ User buys 200€ worth of credits.
β€’ Later, they spend 15 credits for a lead.
β€’ 30 credits for an ad boost.
β€’ 50 credits for featured placement.

No payment friction. No checkout interruption. Just action.

Without credits, each lead purchase feels expensive.
With credits, it feels like using an internal balance.

This also:

  • Improves retention
  • Encourages platform usage
  • Creates predictable cash flow
  • Reduces abandoned checkouts

For platforms selling digital services, leads, boosts, or visibility, a credit wallet isn’t a β€œnice to have.” It’s infrastructure.

If FluentCart aims to support serious marketplace or SaaS ecosystems, a native credit / wallet system would dramatically expand its potential use cases.

I would strongly encourage you to consider it in the roadmap.

JΓ©jΓ© immobilierΒ I could not explain the psychological purpose any better πŸ˜ƒ

Natascha VantuykomΒ you can hire me if you wantΒ πŸ˜‚ More seriously, I have been requesting this feature since the launch of Fluencart, and Jewel said that he also wanted this solution. Let's hope...
