Can Fluent Player work outside of Wordpress?
I can’t quite wrap my head around why it couldn’t or wouldn’t work if the plugin is on Wordpress, generates the HTML player code, and is then embedded on a site outside of Wordpress, but maybe I’m confused. Please advise. Thank you!
Hi Kaneisha G.!
You should be able to show a FluentPlayer video on a non WordPress website using an iframe. FluentPlayer stays installed on your WordPress site, and you embed the video’s dedicated player URL on the other website.
Simply copying the generated player HTML isn’t enough, because the player also needs its scripts and settings. An iframe should load the complete player page from WordPress.
The video should be publicly accessible, the destination website must support iframes, and your WordPress hosting/security settings must allow external embedding.
You can find more details in the Dedicated Player URL guide here: https://docs.fluentplayer.com/dedicated-player-url
