I'm getting copied on campaign emails? π
This week I started getting lots of emails from myself. It looks like I'm being copied on some, but not all, emails out of FluentCRM.
I have 100 copies of today's campaign, addressed to someone else and showing their email address but appearing also in my inbox. I'm not sure what the distinction is that only these 100 of 5k+ came to me.
I also have 187 "undelivered, return to sender" emails, which suggests I need to check my contact list after the latest import but also, I did not used to get these in my inbox.
I haven't changed any settings, so I don't know why this is happening. I did import a few hundred new (promo opt-in) contacts yesterday, and I sent a campaign today, but I was getting some strays before yesterday. Any ideas?
Most probably those emails got bounced and based on your email sending return path, it returned to your email. It depends on which email sending provider you are using.
Shahjahan JewelΒ But I've been using FluentCRM for nearly a year, and this is a new behavior. What would cause the change now?
L. BaughΒ which email sending service are you using?
Shahjahan JewelΒ Amazon SES
L. BaughΒ Yes, that makes sense. That's email feedback from bounce. You can disable that and here is the official document: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/ses/latest/dg/monitor-sending-activity-using-notifications-email.html
You can setup SNS with FluentCRM so the bounces get automatically updated in your CRM: https://docs.fluentcrm.com/bounce-handler-with-amazon-ses
