VAT incorrectly shown as negative revenue for on-hold/cancelled orders

Hi team,

I’m seeing an issue in FluentCart’s revenue reporting: when an order is on hold or cancelled, its VAT amount appears as negative revenue.

In my test on October 27, the dashboard shows 1 order and revenue of −€10.24. That negative amount corresponds to the VAT, as shown in the attached screenshot.

I previously reported a similar issue with refunds, where the tax amount also appeared as negative revenue. This may be related, but I cannot confirm whether the underlying cause is the same.

Could you please investigate and fix the tax treatment in these reports? An unpaid on-hold or cancelled order should not create negative revenue equal to its VAT. Refund reporting should also handle the tax reversal consistently, without leaving an erroneous negative VAT amount in revenue.

These figures make it difficult to trust the dashboard and understand actual sales. Please check all three cases: on-hold orders, cancelled orders and refunds.

Thank you.

VAT incorrectly shown as negative revenue for on-hold/cancelled orders

Thank you for the detailed report. We confirmed that refunded taxable orders can incorrectly show negative revenue equal to the VAT amount.

We have reported this to our development team, including the refund, cancelled, and on-hold scenarios. They will review the tax calculation and order-status filtering across the reports.

Thank you.
