πŸ”‘ Issue with Password Assignment in FluentCommunity after FluentCart Purchase

We have set up FluentCart to sell subscriptions for individual rooms within the FluentCommunity.

Unfortunately, the workflow for initial password assignment is not working smoothly, as the buyer cannot set a password within FluentCart.

  • After the purchase, the user immediately gains access to the community because they are automatically logged in to WordPress (WP).
  • The Problem: If the buyer opens the community in a different browser or logs out, they have not yet set a password.
  • If they use the "Forgot Password" function, they are directed to the unappealing default WP page to reset their password.

Is there a user-friendly and visually appealing solution for this, or is this the current state of this integration?

You can check Fluent Auth and use magic link

Gabri SalaΒ we cannot use the magic link for data protection reasons.

Registration is done via FluentCart, how can FluentAuth be used in this setup?

Elvis Plaku

AndrΓ© SalierΒ it's very well integrated into both WordPress and the Fluent ecosystem.

Elvis PlakuΒ at what point can the customer set their password for the community if the community access is purchased via FluentCart?

Daniel Proctor

It should auto generate the password and send it to the user via email this would be the solution

It would be best if the clients could set their own passwords on the checkout page, before payment.
