I'd like to offer people a free year of membership without them having to enter a credit card unless they choose to renew next year.
Is that possible? Right now, it requires a credit card, even when the coupon reduces the price for the year to $0
Update 18 Feb 2026
I've been going back and forth with Tech support trying to figure this out.
What I want to do: Give a free trial sub/membership without requiring a credit card.
Their suggestion (the only way) is to make a $0 version of the subscription product and set it to 1 installment. This will allow someone to buy it without using a credit card.
The biggest drawback is that it will show the membership expiration date in their customer dashboard as "Invalid date" as the date is set by the payment processor's API response, and there is none here. I can live with that. But...
I tested it with a one day membership product, and it keeps renewing (for free) I don't know how to stop that. I put in a support ticket and will edit this part if they solve it.
Update 2 Feb 20 2026: It's not possible to give people a free trial membership that expires without them entering a credit card.
I got confirmation of this from tech support yesterday.
Sadly, this is so critical to my business plan that I may have to switch to another cart.
I want to create my own (solo) Bandcamp site. I know FC can handle it but there's one cool feature that Bandcamp has that FC doesn't: the ability to pay what you want. Bandcamp lets you choose a minimum price but there is no max, so if someone is feeling generous, they can pay $10 or $20 for something I'm selling for $5.
I see the subscription feature, so it must be possible to offer different levels of subscriptions. I have a site I'm about to build that needs this but what happens if other people want to participate in my site? There's no way to allow them to run something like their own patreon or storefront, is there?
The new Instant modal for checkout is awesome! Is there a way to use it only for desktop visitors, and keep normal checkout page for mobile users?
Thanks!
Hi, in the item product page I see the price and compared price, no problem.
But when I click to buy, I don't see the compared price anymore. Is there an option to show it also on checkout, to improve conversions?
Thank you!
Hi, we use FluentCart licencing for our plugin.
However, we have 2 plugins in the product. The actual licenced plugin and a small helper plugin.
When we have updates for the helper plugin, there is no way we can push this.
How can we make sure those updates get to our clients?
This should be a store owners decision.
Current behavior: getVersion() returns version metadata for expired licenses but omits the download URL, and downloadLicensePackage() rejects expired licenses independently. So expired users see an update exists but can't install it.
Request: A per product checkbox in License Settings, something like "Allow updates for expired licenses." When enabled, both the version response and download endpoint would serve expired, but previously valid licenses.
I see fluent_cart/license/get_version_response exists as a filter, but the download endpoint has a separate isValid() check with no corresponding filter, so a clean solution would need to be built in.
Naturally being on Google merchant center is quite crucial for advertising and pulling in customers.
Without being able to offer this - FluentCart is still "not commercially available" it's more like a beta.
I created the TSV feed plugin https://community.wpmanageninja.com/portal/space/fluent-cart/post/tsv-product-feed-for-fluentcart
but beyond that.. getting Conversions actions to work I feel like anything "I build" on my own will just be overridden by you guys eventually.
Are you guys going to open up some co-development? I'd love to contribute.
We kindly request that FluentCart elements be made fully editable within the Bricks Builder interface. Providing complete editing capabilitiesβsimilar to those available for native Bricks elementsβwould greatly improve workflow flexibility and design consistency.
Is there a way to use fluentCart with a social proof tool like ProoveSource ?
I already use it with WooCommerce but I want to know how to use that feature with FluentCart when a customer make a payment. So a small window will be display with the customer's first name.
Thank you.
