I sent out a campaign to my list with a button to add the product to cart. It worked fine in my "send a test email" tests, so I sent out a batch.
Something like this:
https://MY-WEB-SITE.com/?fluent-cart=instant_checkout&item_id=12&quantity=1
(just for illustration...I obfuscated the data so don't click on these)
I got back a dozen emails from people telling me the credit card field just spins and they can't complete the purchase.
When they do they get this error: "No Active Cart"
1 or 2 people managed to complete it, but that always happens with glitches; a few people figure out how to circumvent it. Maybe by reloading the site and manually navigating to product.
Luckily my first send was just a test to 500 subscribers. I adjusted and made the link to the product page instead, leaving them to add to cart themselves, and sent out another batch.
This time, I started seeing people completing the purchase.
However...I still got a couple of people writing to me that they just got the spinning wheel, and you know that for everyone who wrote there are many more who just gave up.
I suspect it's the FluentCRM utm and click tracking parameters that are interfering with FluentCart.
The clicked link in the email turns into something like this:
https://jdasdzy4c9.r.us-east-1.awstrack.me/L0/https:%2F%2Fwww.my-web-site.com%3Fns_url=2771%26mid=282408%26fch=990f7353/2/0100019c9a1ddfc6-26942446-e5ad-4181-b0be-62aefbc6b3bf-000000/sQ0gfJerLw_mwKCjAxqQsLejGXw=424
I have a ticket in to support and they are investigating I will update with any progress here. But since this is a serious problem and can tank a promotion so I wanted to warn people to do extensive real world testing before you send out a product link in an email campaign for now.
I was about to send it to 80,000 people but I am going to hold off until this is resolved.
I gotta say, I am so happy to be moving away from Woocommerce and I do love Fluent products, but I can't believe I've been trying to send out this campaign for over two weeks now and just keep hitting walls like this.
Tech support has been amazing through all this, and some of the problems have been me not understanding the limitations, but I didn't expect I'd need to bug them this much and still not get my campaign out.
Hi FluentCart team and community,
Weβre seriously considering migrating our entire subscription infrastructure to FluentCart because we rely on provider-native recurring via Mollie β specifically the Mollie Subscriptions API, not the older βMollie Recurring/RCURβ method that some plugins use. In our current setup (Pronamic Pay + Gravity Forms) much of the logic lives in WordPress, and weβve had ongoing challenges with status syncing, webhook handling and reliability.
Before we invest significant time and resources into migrating:
1. Does FluentCart plan to continue long-term support for the Mollie Subscriptions API (the API that schedules recurring charges, mandates, retries, etc.), and not fall back to a WordPress-based subscription model?
2. Is the Mollie subscription integration considered a core part of FluentCartβs roadmap, especially for handling recurring via provider-side webhooks and schedules?
3. Are there planned changes to how subscription billing is handled that we should be aware of (for example changes in webhook requirements, API versions, or a shift in architecture)?
We want to ensure that FluentCart will remain a stable foundation for managing Mollie-driven recurring payments over the next few years before committing to a migration and building workflows around it.
Thanks in advance for clarifying!
With the recent updates, has anyone else noticed that the old problem of images disappearing from the front end is back? Workaround requires deleting the image, re-assigning it, and re-saving (plus clearing cache if you have one).
I have just started to build out a proper cart, and I have so many questions.
- Why can so little be customised? Sizing, positioning, adding/removing elements etc? A custom area on the left side of the modal with a basic block builder to add text, bullets, maybe an image or two would be very useful.
- On the cart modal, why is the product/bundle name repeated? When products are selected in the bundle, every product has an identical parent/child description.
- I can add extra product images when I create the product but only one appears in the modal, and it's stupidly tiny and always square. Where are the other two images and why can't the image size be changed?
- The Country appears under the Billing Address heading and again under the card details. Why? And why can't one or both be removed?
- The short description and long description don't appear on the cart modal. Why?
I'm coming from ThriveCart which I've used for years. I only sell digital products. I was hoping that Fluent Cart would be a good replacement but at the moment, it's so far off. I really want to like this product and I know you're making constant improvements but early adopters of your product are waiting a long time for standard cart features.Β
Am I alone here? Thoughts anyone?
Hopefully an obvious or simple fix if anyone has experienced the same thing? Initial subscription creation and validation is fine, payments process, automations run. When it comes to renewal (monthly, or those on a split payment), the subscription payment is being taken by Stripe but then that isn't being picked up by FluentCart. I can go to the sub in fcart and choose to "fetch subscription Stripe" which fixes it - any clue where to look for reasons that this isn't happening automatically?
I have added a subscription payment option to one of my digital product in my cart. The Razorpay payment option is not showing in subscription option whereas it is showing in one time payment. I updated the fluent cart plugin to the latest version and there is no update on Razorpay Addon like you mentioned to check for update.
I would like to tag FluentCart customers who purchase using a coupon (ie: tag them in FluentCRM) but I can't see a way to do that as there is no trigger for coupons. Nor do I see a conditional that would do it.
The best idea I had so far is to create a smartlink that adds the tag when they go to purchase but I am reluctant to do that as I had big problems yesterday with a purchase link in a FluentCRM email promotion.
When they tried to checkout it gave them an "no active cart" error.
Not sure what caused that, maybe link parameters added by FluentCRM or a caching problem (the FluentCart plugin updated just as I sent out my newsletter!)
As a result, I am too scared to use links in the next email (that was a disaster - so many people just gave up in the checkout) and I will just instruct them to go to the shop and add the coupon manually until I can fully test and identify what went wrong.
Anyway...I would love to tag those coupon users.
Any ideas?
I was just reading the FluentCart roadmap and noticed something bigβ¦
β¬οΈ Funnel Builder
β¬οΈ Upsell / Order Bumps
β¦are no longer on the roadmap.
Thatβs HUGE for a cart solution trying to compete with WooCommerce + other eCommerce stacks.
So letβs settle this:
Do you think removing these features is:
πΉ A - Smart move (focus on core & stability)
πΉ B - Big mistake (funnels & upsells are must-haves)
πΉ C - Neutral (there are other ways to build them)
πΉ D - I donβt care, I use it anyway π)
And more importantly - why? π
For me personally: B - Big mistake: because funnels & upsells are core to increasing average order value, and without them, FluentCart has to rely on external plugins that break the βlightweight cartβ promise.
Iβm really curious what the community thinks.
Dear FluentCart Team and Shahjahan Jewel, when the modal "Buy Now" button is clicked open, it does not output/display the custom payment instruction written in the offline payment method's setting. Due to this, we are not being able to use this modal feature. Please check this on your end.
Here are the screenshots for further light into this issue:
I have a bundled product made up of all my e-book and audiobook products. As an entirely digital product, I have no inventory management activated, as it can never go out of stock.
I sold one a few days ago, and now, testing, I discovered that the bundle is showing on the front end as "out of stock" when people try to add it to the cart, and nothing happens at all when they try to "buy now."
What is happening here?? Help!
