Sub-/Domain Recommendation

What is the recommendation if the website is on the main domain, and I want to run FluentCommunity as a paid membership with FluentCart on a subdomain? Where would I add the FluentCart shop when the community runs at community.example.com?

The shop cannot go into the main domain.

David Churchill

Historically subdomains are usually separate WordPress installations, but there are ways to sync Users if needed. But I am wondering if Fluent apps work with WordPress MU/Networks? Shahjahan JewelΒ do you have any info?

I just need to have FluentCommunity and FluentCart run on a subdomain. But that wont have any other content than the shop and the community.

Wouldn’t it be cool if WPManageNinja”s created a plugin to connect seperate sites and shared user profile across all sites so we can have a set up like this. Shahjahan JewelΒ

Adam GeorgeΒ you can do it already with WordPress Multisite - but I have not tested how FluentCommunity and FlunetCart would work. It sounds like AndrΓ© DausΒ just needs community.domain.tld for FC and the the store will hang off the end like community/domain.tld/store β€”Β domain.tld could be a WP site or custom html/php.

AndrΓ© Daus

David ChurchillΒ yes, exactly.

What a great idea to add to requests, imagine if the roadmap showed things like this which are included in mature shopping cart systems. That way we could make decisions not just on current features but upcoming ones....
