YouTube just finished me
My channel of of 62k subscribers just got deleted.
Demonetization would have been better, they just deleted it.
I have been appealing since yesterday, they said it's permanent.
That was my only source of income, I feel screwed, thinking what to do next. πππ
what reasons do they invoke?
Christophe PasquierΒ I only talked about a grown woman sexually abusing 11 old kid. It was a mere talk without a video clip
Bryan WilliamΒ I was not aware of this level of censorship. I hope you find an alternative way.
Christophe PasquierΒ All my videos deleted, channel taken down, just because of 1 silly mistake. YouTube is making me mad already.
How can they delete a channel with over 700+ videos just because of 1 mistake?
This hurts deep
Bryan WilliamΒ wow...that's deep...thanks for sharing....I hope they reconsider...
Sadly this speaks to the reason to owning where you do business. It's their platform and they can make their rules. Not sure if you've been using the Fluent products such as FluentCRM to capture your leads. A list that you own that you can communicate with.
Janice BennettΒ Yes I do... But that YouTube channel was generating monthly income for me.
I'm confused if I should start a new YouTube channel or not.
Bryan WilliamΒ I'm not expert there...but they also say things happen for a reason and sometimes a clean slate is good. Maybe you might do things differently and speak to that in how losing it all and getting it back again.
Janice BennettΒ thanks for your response... Maybe I should focus on building my WordPress community to avoid future heart breaks
I am so sorry friend :(
Jeremy BerlinΒ Thanks...
Sorry for your lost. you can make it there, i believe you can make it anywhere. keep the good spirits up.
Tong YangΒ thanks for the encouragement.
So sorry to hear that! I'd say two things:
- Raise a polite request on social media and assure them you'll strictly follow the guidelines. Most platforms pay special attention when the matter is raised on social media.
- You have a story to tell: "I went from 62K to 0 subscribers β and how I'm going to build my audience from scratch."
Remember β when channeled with a positive mindset, every setback could be your spark of motivation to go harder. It's all about the mindset.
Wishing you all the best! β¨ππ«βΎοΈ
The GSΒ My mind is made up now... I have been thinking of what to do next, the clarity finally settled.
I'm switching road from content creators to marketer.
Everything happens in my community, powered by fluent community.
Creating course and building community around it is better for me, but AI is killing courses industry.
I'm still drawing the map
That's insane bro! That's why we're here. Having the ability to pull a % of your audience into your own personal community is the way forward.
Everard BrockettΒ Exactly what I want to do now
Hey Bryan WilliamΒ sorry this happened to you... But to get back on track as fast as possible you need this plan.
Pretty sure many of your followers are wondering what happened to you, so, If you have even a portion of them on other social media platforms, instead of just informing them of what happened, turn this situation into a positive monetized one:
- Setup a fast basic one-page WP site if you don't have one already and add a fluentform to it to collect the emails of your followers. tell them you're coming back with a bang, like a member here wrote, you have a real story to tell.
- If you are familiar with WP, get a community up and running in a day or two (if not I can help you), even starting with one group and space only, add fluentcart, create a subscription and charge 12 dollars a year (I don't know how much you used to make with YT but just do a simple math to get that money back, so if you made 12.000 a year and think you can at least get back 1000 of the followers to support you, start with 12 or 24 dollars a year, this will allow you to filter out your followers and make some money fast).
- Turn this tragedy into an inspiring challenge "From 62K to 0 subscriber, see how I'm getting back my income" or something like that, specify to your followers that it will be your fast challenge to stick it to YT lol, call the first supporters freedom warriors or something like that... You get my point.
- Whatever supporters you get, make more noise and guess what, now you have a BUSSINESS helping Youtubers NOT to put all their eggs in the one YT basket, so basically you can help people avoid what happened to you by setting simple paid communities for them (I can help with that too).
No matter what you decide, do it fast before your story get cold and whatever you have as followers forget about it.
YT gave you a truck of lemons, time to make a lot of Juice of it.
What do you think of my "phoenix rising from the ashes" plan
Adel KassouriΒ this is amazing, I never thought of these... Implementation mood coming soon
