WP Theme - Community Portal Branding Mismatch
I'm trying my best, but it's so hard to get your WP theme (Blocksy) to match your community portal branding. You make one thing work and the other breaks. 😔
I wish FC had a theme of its own, too. I'm ready to pay extra. 🙌
What is it you're trying to achieve?
Ross FCA Hey Ross, I'm trying to have the consistent design layout and color scheme across all webpages: community portal + home, about, blog (main), and blog post pages.
For example:
- The same header as the community portal — this is "almost achieved" using the "FluentCommunity Full Width Frame" template, but it's not working on the main blog page, even after using a custom code snippet.
- Since I'm using "FluentCommunity Full Width Frame", I can no longer use Blocksy's footer section, which is required for my general webpages (home, about, etc.).
- Blocksy and FC community color palette settings are different + dark & light mode compatibility thing. So, I'm having a hard time customizing Blocksy's color scheme to match with community portal's color scheme.

The GS Thanks for this - I tried to do all this at the start of the year and gave up. Why do you need the fcom header on your blog? Or your blog header on your fcommunity? I decided against trying to do it as it really doesn't work well or make sense to do. Like trying to mix oil and water.
Ross FCA I understand your question, Ross, because I think many people here have the "community portal" as an extension to their main business website (and perhaps that's why they host it on a subdomain, like this community itself).
But in my case, the whole website is all about the community — it's not an extension to an existing business or something. I'm building a community from scratch. That's why I want consistent branding throughout the website. I hope that makes sense! 🙂

Thomas Oates Hey Thomas, thanks so much for your response to this! Yeah, I remember this post and already installed your theme on my test website. But to be honest, I haven't had a chance to play with it yet.
The reason I'm using Blocksy on my main website is that I love its overall blog design (main page) and blog post layout as well.
