Worried about 3.0 and gutenberg editor.
I am really not understanding why people prefer gutenberg editor as email editor. I think the preference for it comes down to familiarity rather than merit? With 8 years in email and automation, I've seen this industry go through a lot of changes, some great, some not. Gutenberg as an email editor falls firmly in the latter category.
I'd question whether the majority actually prefer Gutenberg, or if it's just the loudest voices in the room. I for one hope FluentCRM keeps their current pre-gutenberg editor around. It's genuinely great. My only real gripe with it is the inability to create rounded template edges. Fix that, and it's pretty much perfect editor.
I used to think the same. Once you get used to a specific UX, any major change feels risky.
But the deeper I went into email design, the more I understood the value of having direct HTML control when needed.
For example, with rounded edges, you can already get there by adding an HTML block inside the visual editor. I was stuck there once too, and HTML solved it.
That said, I agree with your main point: the current editor is genuinely good, and I also hope FluentCRM keeps a simple, non-Gutenberg option for people who just want to move fast.
For more advanced use cases, though, especially with agents, reusable components, dynamic blocks and more complex email layouts, I think HTML-based workflows are going to become more relevant again.
