What type of paid FC plan have you bought?

I'm just curious! I have an annual one, and I'm not quite sure if I made the right decision. Your thoughts or suggestions are much appreciated! <3

What type of paid FC plan have you bought?

Artur Abakarov

Don't worry, everything is fine. Of course, if you have serious intentions, a lifetime license would be the best choice. But if the offer has already expired, don't worry, you can get a discount during sales, and if you have built a successful model with this plugin in 1-2 years, its cost will pay for itself through content sales, advertising, or services. If there was no success and no return on investment, then there is no point in spending money.

Artur AbakarovΒ Thank you so much for your kind words, Artur! πŸ₯Ί

I must clarify that I'm quite serious about my community project. One thought process behind the annual plan is that I should be building my community in a way that within a year that I shouldn't be bothered about the next year's subscription money.
But now, I'm thinking that since I'm that serious, I should've gone for the lifetime plan because then I won't have to think about the subscription money every year. πŸ€”

The GSΒ you have to pick up Ltd plans when you can. Some plugins do not offer discounts as i have two that cost as much as $500/year.

The GS

Everyone's voting for the "Lifetime" plan. Am I the only one who went with an Annual one? 😭😭😭😭

Artur Abakarov

The GS The lifetime deal offer is still valid. Try writing to support; there's a small chance they'll give you a discount on your plan. And if not, and your budget is limited, then know that with the right motivation and usefulness of your site, it will be attractive even on a free plan, and when it starts to bring in profit, you won't pay attention to the annual payments.

I don't even see an Annual option on the pricing page. How much is your Annual license? https://fluentcart.com/pricing/

The GS

Chris DavisΒ There seems to be some confusion, Chris! I'm talking about FluentCommunity, and not FluentCart! πŸ™‚

Chris Davis

The GSΒ πŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ sorry about that. I thought I was in the FluentCart space. Not to make you feel worse but the lifetime deal was so good it was practically impossible to pass up.

As it is now after 2 years you would've paid the same amount as a single site lifetime.

Here's another perspective, however, as long as you have paying members to cover the cost it's still not technically coming out of your pocket.

Just a little less going into your pocket.

I actually sold a community implementation to my email list for the price of 10 sites lifetime. My client got a lifetime community license and an initial build and now I have 9 more licenses of my own.

The GS

Chris DavisΒ It's okay, Chris! My bad for using "FC" instead of "FluentCommunity" as now we have two FCs.

And yes, everything you said totally makes sense. Let me see if they have a Black Friday deal.

If you don't mind, could you please help me understand this further? β€” "I actually sold a community implementation to my email list for the price of 10 sites lifetime." β€” Sorry, I didn't quite get it, but I'd love to learn more about it. TIA! πŸ’š

Chris Davis

The GSΒ sure, I think the lifetime deal was $499 for 10 sites. So I sent an email to my list asking if anybody wanted free community software and all they had to do is pay for my team to build it out for them.

So I set the price of the implementation to $499 to cover buying the license and essentially installed FC on their site for them.

Yes, I could've even charged more to pay for FC and make some profit but I just wanted to have the lifetime plan paid for.

Have done this many times so the client always covers the cost and I'm never coming out of pocket.

Currently looking to do the same for Ottokit Business Pro Lifetime.

The GS

Chris Davis Oh, wow! That's so smart, and win-win for everyone! 🀩

Thank you so much for sharing this, Chris. I appreciate it! πŸ’š

Chris Davis

The GSΒ you're welcome
