What happens when someone completes a Course?
I enjoy Fluent Community, and I think the Course module is simple but gets the job done.
However, there is an important thing missing from it. Nothing happens when someone completes a course! I don't see a way to edit some notification, pop-up, or message for the student to receive automatically, and no celebration of their achievement happens in any way I can see.
One thing I looked at for setting this manually was to go to FluentCRM to set up a tag and badge to assign automatically when a student completes a lesson, so I can then set up a space in the community to unlock when they complete a course, thanks to the associated tag, and later create an email campaign to go with it. However, I was surprised not to find the course completion among the triggers in the integrated Fluent Community, and I had no way to manually set up a trigger for it.
Is there a way to make this happen soon?
Simply adding the "Completed Course" trigger in the FluentCRM Automations would be enough for now!

Yes! Completing a course should feel like an achievement, and right now, that moment feels a bit empty in FluentCommunity.
I would love to see more options to mark and celebrate course completion. For instance, the ability to automatically hand out a certificate would be a great step forward. At the moment, I work around this by adding a final lesson titled “What did you think of this course?” where I invite students to leave a review or reward them with a bonus or discount. But having something more official and automated would definitely enhance the user experience.
Even something simple, like a customizable completion message or a pop-up celebrating their progress, would already go a long way. And I fully support your suggestion to add a “Completed Course” trigger in FluentCRM Automations. That would open up many possibilities...from awarding badges and unlocking new community areas to launching email sequences and driving engagement beyond the course itself.
Celebrating milestones like course completion is not just about motivation; it’s also about building connection and momentum. I really hope this gets prioritized soon.
Regarding certificates, I use a separate system of open badges on a different platform that comes with certificate generation, but it's an optional addition to the course. I consider Courses on Fluent Community ideal for creating simple courses so I wouldn't complicate it further with more functions. It already has the basics to be nested in the community, and I don't think it needs more. I think this completion thing is essential, though, and it is missing, so I hope the admins are taking note of this, as it seems this message had a lot of reaction, meaning it's not just me!
