Webhook Ideas
I've successfully created my first webhook integration for badges. Right now it allows for a single workflow. My use case is to give someone a badge and it automatically add them to a space and/or changes their role in said space... and if the badge is removed it does the reverse action.
My goal is to expand the badges significantly with this, and soon I will connect it to the Leaderboard to automatically assign/remove badges as users hit the various levels.
I'm looking for other areas that folks believe needs similar webhooks. Please share with me and any additional info such as use cases, etc. Also, this isn’t limited to just badges either, it’s just where I started because I needed it for a project.
Please note that a workflow automation app such as Flowmattic or something similar is necessary. I have confirmed functionality with Flowmattic on this as that is the one I use.
Just for clarity, my badge webhook integration has zero to do with the other Jeff’s Partner plugin, nor do I have any intention to create anything similar.
In fact my intention is to create webhooks for other areas of FCom that is for devs to extend further functionality of their communities….. it IS NOT a donation/supporter/partner system in any manner nor will it be on my part.
Instead it’s meant to be a bridge for missing hooks in fcom and other apps/plugins that use webhooks.
