Video security with Bunny Stream + FluentPlayer β€” how are you handling it?

Hey everyone,

I run a paid online academy with 400+ course lessons, all currently using Bunny Stream with Presto Player and the following security setup:

  • CDN Token Authentication enabled
  • Block direct URL file access enabled
  • Allowed domains restricted to my domain only

This setup has been working well. Now with FluentPlayer available, I'm considering whether to switch to it for course content.

Two questions:

  1. Does FluentPlayer support Bunny Stream's CDN Token Authentication? same way Presto Player does?

  2. If I enable MediaCage Basic DRM on my Bunny Stream library, will FluentPlayer still be able to play the videos? Or does DRM restrict playback to Bunny's own embedded player only?

More broadly β€” for those of you running paid communities or online courses with Bunny Stream, how are you handling video security? Are you using Bunny's embed directly, or a custom player? And how are you maintaining solid protection?

And if you've run into these security limitations with FluentPlayer or any other custom player β€” how did you work around them?

Would love to hear how others are approaching this.

For now I do with the Bunny MediCage Basic DRM and integrated player.

Alessandro AIVΒ I tried setting this up tonight and the video wasn't visible in my community. When I inspected it, the iframe was there, but there was nothing in the body. When you say 'integrated player' do you mean the standard Gutenberg player?

Hi. Are you still using Presto Player or did you switch to Fluent Player? I'm trying to set up secure videos using Bunny (also MediCage Basic as above), but not winning as of yet.
