Username creation when registering via payment processor
I use a Wordpress payment processor that creates the nickname (or nicename) in the format of "first-last" when I user completes checkout. If I then add them to FC via integration or FluentCRM will it inherit the Wordpress nickname (assigned at checkout) as the username in FC?

yes, FluentCommunity will pick wordpress username but if the wordpress username is an email then it will try to take the nickname or generate from the name.
