Transitioning from Facebook to FluentCommunity

I have a question for those of you who previously ran your community on Facebook and have now implemented or are planning to implement FluentCommunity. I never had a community on my website because I wasn’t satisfied with the available options, and since everyone was already familiar with Facebook, I, like many others, simply created a group there.

Now that FluentCommunity is available, I think it’s an excellent solution, and I want to transition to it. For those of you who moved from Facebook, did you have to convince your members to switch? Did you keep your Facebook group active, or did you inform members that it would be closed and that everyone would now use FluentCommunity? I can already imagine some members wanting to stay on Facebook while others would be happy to use FluentCommunityβ€”but running both at the same time doesn’t seem practical. How did you handle this transition?

Hi

you need to make a choice

there are pros & cons

pros = you own your data, you can customize your community, it can be part of your site

cons = people have to go to your site, whereas with a facebook group they are already going to facebook every day, so you need to reach out to your community on a regular basis, fluent CRM is a great tool for that, so that they come and visit your community as often as possible
