There's a difference... or do I miss something?
In the release notes I read this:
"Added: Editor Draft Guard
To prevent accidental content loss, FluentCommunity 2.2.0 introduces Editor Draft Guard, a smart safety feature designed to protect users while writing. With Editor Draft Guard enabled, any unfinished post or comment draft is automatically preserved. As a result, if a user accidentally refreshes the page, navigates away, or closes the editor, their content remains safe and can be easily restored when they return.
Moreover, this feature is also valuable for longer posts, announcements, or detailed discussions where losing progress can be frustrating. By quietly working in the background, Editor Draft Guard ensures a smoother, more confident writing experience."
So my first thought was "With Editor Draft Guard enabled" ...do I need to enabled this somewhere? So I went to look for it in the community settings, but couldn't find it. Then I tried it out. I wrote something in my community and then clicked on a link. This appeared:

Although this is useful, in my opinion it's really something else than stated in the release notes. Because this "if a user accidentally refreshes the page, navigates away, or closes the editor, their content remains safe and can be easily restored when they return." did not happen. When I left and returned, my message was nowhere to be found. It was not saved as draft. I could only go back to continue writing my message, or leave. But "can be easily restored when they return." was not the case.
So, do I miss something?
I had the same question and actually reached out to ask about it, but didn't get an answer either.
Shahjahan JewelΒ can you help us?
Gee Adriaansz,Β our team already updated the the changelog post. So basically, it will show you a notice if you type something in the new post or comment editor.
It's a great feature.
Shahjahan JewelΒ So it will not save a draft? That would still be very usefull to have.
Shahjahan JewelΒ yes it is, and I did not say it isn't π just the behaviour was different than stated in the release files.
