Terms and Conditions on Registration
I have fluentauth setup and am looking to add a Terms and conditions agreement to the signup form. I already have the default one confirming they are eligible to join the community but i want another to confirm that they have read and agree to our community guidelines. Better yet I would love to force them to watch a video before being able to register. I have Presto Player if that is helpful at all.
Any suggestions appreciated.
It sounds like you need a chain for this workflow. Click a button to register. Go to a page with the video, which must complete before showing the button to register, then register and accept T&C.
Is that what you have in mind?
William BeemΒ yeah, I am debating how much friction I want. At minimum I want them to agree to our community guidelines. Still debating whether making them watch a 90 second video that explains the guidelines is worth it. Do you have thoughts on how to accomplish either or both of these?
Mike CameronΒ Let me give it some thought. I'm in the middle of something else right now and want to give this some attention. I have Presto Player, but don't use it very much. I'll check to see if it has features that can help.
Some page builders have a function called βcontent revealβ. You can use a % of video consumed or x time on site (no need of presto).
You can then, reveal any element (eg.: like the shortcode with the register).
We used to use this a lot for digital launches prior to show the offer or the call registration.
It may be worth to check if your builder has this :)
If not, maybe in presto you can set like a final page URL to the login, or show it after x time was completed (just one step extra but if itβs clearβ¦).
About the TYC, just remember to keep in mind you need to keep proof of what was exactly showed so keep track of versions, time stamp of acceptance and so :)
