Tag location in posts
What about this feature? You share a post and you can use your GPS to add location / city or whatever. I would welcome this feature to be honest. What do you think?
Would be really nice. But honestly, I see it more as a custom profile field, so you could filter members by location.
For posts, I think it could create more privacy concerns than benefits. Even at the profile level, you’d need to make sure everything is properly handled from a privacy and consent perspective.
I still remember Twitter’s early geolocation days and how chaotic that became. Instagram’s “share location” feature last year caused a similar reaction and raised quite a few privacy concerns.
So I’d personally keep location as an optional profile field rather than tying it directly to posts.
Jorge de los Reyes I thought it could be done as next button in post creation box where we have already image, video, audio, pool etc.. If you want share location, you must click that button.
