Spaces β€”> Courses, and Chat?

I'm confused on the best way to manage Spaces and Courses setup. If I want to have a unique and separate Chat for each Course, it seems I need a unique Space for each Course, since there can be only one Chat per Space? But does that make for a bad user experience? What's the best way to set this up given the goal of a unique Chat for each Course I offer? And are there any video demos that show this? Thank you

You can have both discussion spaces and a course within the same group. You can't assign permissions based on the group, but you can hide the group from anyone who is not a member of a space or course within it. Does that work for you?

William BeemΒ  thank you. Are you saying that one Space can have multiple separate Chats?

William Beem

Lee BuschΒ Each lesson has it's own discussion area at the bottom of the lesson.

Now a chat is different than a discussion area. Chats are private between members.

A group is a collection, of course. Right now, we're in the Product Discussions Group. There are several spaces here, including this one for FluentCommunity.

You just create a Group and then put in a Space and a Course inside. If you want multipe Spaces for discussions, you could do that inside the group for the course.

William BeemΒ Thank you. We may be using different terminology. In this entire wpmanageninja community, there is ONE Group Chat, at this address https://community.wpmanageninja.com/portal/chat

I find that odd. Why would there not be a separate group chat for each product? And is that a technical limitation of the FC platform? Or is it just not set up optimally? I understand that there are comment threads under each lesson β€” that's not what I'm talking about. I also understand that there are facebook-style comment walls in each space. That's also not what I'm talking about.

Does that help?
