Smoother, sturdier and easier to run

Core 1.3.28 doesn't add a big new screen. It makes the app your members already use smoother and sturdier, and easier for you to keep running. Here are the four things you'll notice.

Videos play on the first tap

On Android, tapping a YouTube video used to load the player and stop there, so members tapped twice. Now one tap plays it, the way it always worked on iPhone and iPad.

Notifications open at the comment

Tap a comment notification and the reply is right there, highlighted, like the bell on your website. If a sheet or the post box is open, the app closes it first, and it asks before it throws away an unsaved edit.

Diagnostics shows you the fix

When your app can't reach your site, you no longer have to guess why. Open Tools β€Ί Diagnostics and it checks what usually gets in the way (Cloudflare, a firewall, a page cache, an out-of-date plugin), then points you to the exact place to fix each one.

Sturdier underneath

Your app now runs on the newest release of Expo SDK 58, the toolkit it's built on, with its latest fixes for iPhone and iPad. And when a connection drops for a moment, the app quietly tries again before members see an error.

Also in this release

  • Long Better Messages chats open at the newest message, and leaving a group takes you back to your messages.
  • Editing a post in the app keeps a video a moderator embedded on the website.
  • Screen readers name chat reactions and a comment's buttons.
  • A member who pays in the app and on your website for the same FluentCRM tag keeps access while either one is paid.

Before you update

  • This one needs a new app build and a store update.
  • Selling the same FluentCRM tag in the app and on your website? A tag you take off by hand comes back while the member still pays in the app. To shut them out, block them in Fluent Community.
  • Paying in the app lifts a block only through a FluentCRM automation that unblocks a member when the plan's tag is applied.
