Sidebar Collapse to icons
Currently working on this for desktop view and still have several styling issues to fix on both front/back end. However you can see somewhat how this will look and function.
I plan to add tooltips to the icons on hover to show space names.
Feel free to comment with any issues or suggestions here.
Also, once I get the desktop view stable I will start working on a mobile version as well. This will relocate some of the features to the bottom in a sticky footer menu.
My plan is to release this as an all in one pseudo theme for FCom.
Hey Jeff - what are you stuck with? Looks like the lock/notification icons? I've ended up replicating them and overlaying on the icon for my solution.

Ross FCAΒ not stuck, just do coding on the side and as a hobby. I've been pretty busy at work this week, and my son had cub scouts and a school christmas event. So I just chilled a little after work this week.
I'm glad you mentioned the notifications because I had forgotten about those.
Jeff BrigmanΒ Ah cool, was going to offer to help if I could. It's definitely more fun cracking the puzzle yourself though so good luck with it :)
Ross FCAΒ definitely! I actually do it for stress relief.... most of the time.
I just edited the lock icon but still need to tweak it for when expanded. Not 100% on anything yet but just playing with the CSS in the FF inspector as I go along.
Ross FCAΒ I do have a question about another topic that is somewhat related to FCom. Whatβs the best way to contact you?
Jeff BrigmanΒ DM here is fine :)
Jeff BrigmanΒ and Ross FCAΒ . The both of you have been extremely helpful to me. Thank you!
A little video teaser of where I'm at. Although the lock and notifications are somewhat linked together, I had to do a little tweaking to the notification part because it was slightly off. You can see both in the video along with some of the expected functionality.
I still have to incorporate scroll for collapsed when the number of spaces/content area causes an overflow.
and yes I know I misspelled another.
Here's a video update showing everything so far. Next I will be adding compatibility for FCom pages so it works there too. This should be ready soon, but you can always view my site to see it live.
