Sending a welcome message
Is there a way to send a private welcome message to new members?
Not sure about Fluent Messaging, but it’s possible with Better Messages plugin. Still needs some code though, but is easy with their documentation.
Madis Mark Interesting. Do you know if they do mass private messaging? I'd like to be able to send bulk messages like you can do with Circle that are private messages so if they login they see them. People can miss emails so I like to cover my bases.
Actually I see they do mass messaging. Have you tried integrating this with Fluent?

WiLson Eberechi awesome , thank you. Can you speak a little bit about how it integrates with fluent community? Do you disable the existing private messaging and add it as like a top bar or something else? Any screenshots of it integrated?

Install better message plugin and activate, disable FC PM, the better message will appear where FC PM appears, at the top as well when activated after installed
Then go to better message settings to configure how you want it to your taste, no coding. Just toggle buttons

Bob no I don't use the web socket version, the web socket is mostly for calls, and I don't need it right now. I use the regular one from WP plugin.
But if you need calls on your site then go for the web socket, it's not free though

What are the main reasons some of you use BetterMessage vs FC's own built in private message feature?
Morgan McArthur I haven't used it yet, but for one I can see that sending a mass message would be quite useful.
