Replace full name with a username
Hi everyone. New to fluent community. Is there a way to change the display name which is currently full name to a username/placeholder/nickname? Use case is to allow users to post without full name.
I can see there isn't a setting for this. Can it be achieved with a plugin or css please? Thanks

I've been asking Shahjahan Jewel for this for a couple months now with no luck. One of my communities is getting very little interaction because of it.

There is a feature request in the roadmap, currently at 51 votes, not sure if these are taken serious though since most never move out of User Submitted tab.

Shahjahan Jewel thank you Shahjahan! Using a display name instead of first name + last name and toggling it on or off by admins would be perfect
Shahjahan Jewel Is the new privacy option in the latest release your solution? It doesn't seem to accomplish what is being asked for.
You can easily bypass this.
First name is required, last name is not. You can insert any name you want as a first name.
But this is a bad practice workaround IMO, it should be a standard feature for privacy reasons.
