Remove post content from email notifications
Hi everyone,
Is there a way to remove the post/reply text from email notifications?
My goals are:
- Privacy: Avoid displaying sensitive content directly in mailboxes.
- Engagement: Encourage members to read the content on the community platform.
Is there a hook or a setting to remove the content block and only keep the header and the "View Comment" button?

It's possible, I finally found the solution myself...
Publication: only a very small part is displayed.
Comment: The comment field in the email no longer appears.
There should be a built-in option to enable or disable this. The problem is especially relevant for private emails; not all users want to receive the content in the email while also being notified. Furthermore, depending on the type of community (like a social network), it forces the member to log in to read the message.
I'm not sharing the solution here because, unfortunately, some people use what we share and then take the solution and profit from it. And no one has been able to help with this issue for three months. (I'm not referring to the Ninjas here, just to be clear! 😊 )
Claudy Scoufy I'm glad you sorted it out, and I understand you don't want to share it, but ultimately, if we're in communities to help each other, and we become so suspicious of everything, the concept of community loses its meaning. Best regards.
José Carlos Estirado I share your opinion, but for a community to function, it has to work both ways. I don't keep everything to myself and have already shared solutions with add-on developers that they can then improve and even resell, but this isn't done behind my back. I hope you understand my point of view. Please note, I repeat, I'm not generalizing 😊
Claudy Scoufy I completely understand. In fact, in open communities like this one, when I can contribute something, I do so without hesitation. It was just an observation because I see how the concept of open communities is increasingly being lost, and we're locking knowledge away in private spaces.
