Register page and login in enhancement request
The register and login pages feel quite limited and could use more flexibility and polish.
- Allow full-page design customization instead of only adding an image to half the page.
- Add custom signup fields (e.g. onboarding checkboxes that automatically redirect users to relevant groups and subscribe them to relevant newsletters and suggest them courses)
- Add a waitlist option so users can join once enough people request access to the same space, creating more organic growth instead of letting people join empty spaces and not stay.
- Remove the need to enter passwords twice (that's always annoying to do...) and avoid requiring full names during registration.
- Fix the wp gateway so it looks more native to the community.

"Add custom registration fields": yes, that would be so useful. What I'm hoping for is that the custom fields we create for the profile can be integrated into the registration process. I don't see the point in having these fields only accessible through the profile, especially for required fields like age (it's requested on the profile but not during registration, which makes no sense to me).

I have raised a support ticket for a similar issue. I created a custom login page (example.com/community-login) to avoid "wp-admin" in my login page URL. But then, I noticed "wp-admin" is being mentioned in login emails at multiple places, which is quite disappointing, tbh! 🥺😔
For example, in the FluentAuth custom emails like welcome email [SmartCode: {{site.login_url}}] and password reset emails [SmartCode: {{##user.password_reset_url##}}] — both generate URLs with "wp-login" suffix.
[The ticket is open as I'm yet to share the staging credentials with the team, but I just hope there's a solution to it. Will update you here, if you want.]

The GS thank you for appreciating my input. Sometimes I feel that I am demanding and annoying, but what I usually ask for is not over the top… just common sense, really.
and I second what you pointed out. Support has always been very responsive and helpful to me, but I must say that I’m still struggling to even set up an SMTP system (not sure about the term as I’m writing this…) without which I can’t even get members join my community (I’m in no rush, but I’m still struggling with this aspect…)
The registration and login page are amongst what needs the most attention in my opinion…

Here is the solution that works for me to completely hide WordPress. It might not be the only way, but it suits me perfectly: I no longer see any default WordPress forms, even for password resets (the link received by email displays a page fully styled by Fluent).
The plugins I use:
- Move Login URL (by WPMasterToolkit): This is a very useful and free toolkit (I didn't really like WP Hide). It makes changing the default login URL super simple. If anyone tries to access the classic
/wp-login.php, they get a 404 page. - FluentAuth: In the Login/Registration Page Customizer settings, simply check the option "Use custom & modern style for login/registration page". This is essential for applying a clean, modern, and customized style to the login, registration, and password recovery pages.
By combining the hidden login URL and FluentAuth's styling, the native WordPress ecosystem becomes completely invisible.
The GS yes, I'm having issues with this too. The WP login gateway is a glaring hole in their otherwise wonderful Fluent ecosystem. FluentAuth needs to be fully integrated with the FluentCommunity login setup too instead of having a separate login/signup configuration. I'm hoping this is on the roadmap.
What other plugins are you using? You could build a registration form with FluentForms - then you can do pretty much anything you like.

Anne-Sophie W Yes, but Fluent (WPManageNinja) is a company, so it's normal that they push for the purchase of a pro license. Nevertheless, the free versions of the extensions offer a lot of functionality. What I might regret is that they aren't all limited-time offers or have a tiered pricing based on the number purchased, which is what WPForo does for its add-ons, for example.

Just seen this one after finishing the basic configuration of my communities and yeap, was thinking about posting something similar, also after configuring a discord server, the registration and welcome path for new users is key, and those custom fields conected to some badges would be AWESOME.
I'd tell you to add you too into the roadmap to see where it gets more attention first :P but as I'm still new here (1 month aprox.), not sure about that...hope it's heard and let's keep making NOISE! :P

I would like most of these things! Although I disagree with removing the need to enter passwords twice, as that's so that you make sure you don't input the password incorrectly once.
Also, I would love for us to be able to create our own password strength requirements and split the first name and last name up (make last name non-compulsory).
