Private Client Collaboration Area With FluentCommunity & FluentBooking

It had been a little while since I tested FluentCommunity and FluentBoards. I installed both to staging tonite to test an idea.... Could I use this as an easy replacement for something like Basecamp? And it looks like just a few things would really add to the capability here. So, just some suggestions...

First, my use case would be to do client collaboration. I want a task management system and an easy collaboration area. So, the "community" would be a series of private 1-on-1 spaces. Not an overall community where my clients interact with each other.

So, some ideas:

  • Instead of using tags to grant access to a Space, would be nice if we could use an Automation to CREATE a space just for that client and then automatically grant them access to it.
  • If the logged-in user only has access to one Space, make the top menu option go right to it. This way we can use the Spaces functionality for individual private client discussion areas. But, as admins, we can see all of them and go in and out of all Spaces. Clients should not be able to see Spaces for other clients.
  • Integrate FluentBoards with FluentCommunity such that I could put a client's own Board right into the Community interface.

The idea would be to create a private client collaboration area. Useful for all kinds of businesses. And by combining FC and FB together, with a few tweaks, it is pretty close. :)

You can easily implement this using the Fluent Community.
Set the space to "secret" and invite only the designated customers – this way, it remains invisible to all other members.
Additionally, invitations can be conveniently automated via Fluent-CRM.

AndrΓ© SalierΒ Yes, but that's way too manual and doesn't accomplish what is needed. Each individual client would get their own space. If I have to create the space manually, then nothing can be automated. I know I can automate adding people to existing spaces, but there's no way to create individual spaces right now.

David Risley I haven't tried it, but in case, is it possible to set it so that users with the same name@company_mail.com are immediately added to their secret group?
