Privacy settings enhacement
It would be nice to extend the privacy settings:
- Comments are available for logged users only (nice option for Public communities - not matter if the Space is Public or a Private in this case)
- Comments are available for Space Members only (Private Spaces)
If a community visitor or not a Private Space member wants to preview comments then either the visitor needs to log in to Community or to buy the Space membership (if the Space is Private). It is another way to force users to log in or to buy the Space membership.
- Also please add the PASSWORD field to the UserProfile when the user is changing the UserName - currently I can click Forwarded email notification magic link and log in as the user and change the UserName.
UserName changes should be more complex than just replacing the text field. I believe such a change should trigger auto EMAIL CONFIRMATION (it should be send to the Original user email and Admin) - if enabled.
Email notification for UserName changes should clearly include the previous username and the new username but also info about who and when change it, maybe even include IP, date/time.
If needed/enabled then UserName changes should be approved by the Admin/Moderator (auto fBoard task created?) and the Admin should configure how often the UserName can be changed by the user per month and per lifetime.
Good idea. I thought about posting it myself. This way - the community is open for people to glance at, but are still motivated to open an account. The same way Twiiter (X) functions.
